It is an ironic fact that Disneyland is in Orange County, California and Disney World is in Orange County, Florida.
"Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

Of course.....if you are attending a meeting at the Orange County Convention Center which would be more convenient to do?'
A) Ride Big Thunder Mt.
B) Visit Universal Studios
C) Go to Knotts Berry Farm for Dinner
A) Big Thunder is across the street.
B) Universal Studios is about 1 hour away.
C) Knott's is about 15 minutes away.

Im just tired of people saying DL is in LA. I lived in the OC for the first 27 years of my life. I have lived in LA for 1 year and TOTALLY miss the OC. At any point in the OC, DL is 15-20 mins away. DL is at LEAST 1 hour away from LA. FRICKIN 5 FREEWAY!!!! ARG!!!
LA sucks, but thats were my job is. To bad all the entertainment jobs are here on Burbank..... Univ can eat my shorts.
A) Big Thunder is down I-4 about 20 miles then a nice boat ride across a nice lake.
B) Universal is about 10 minutes away(if that)
C) Knotts is about 5 hours by jet
As a native Orange County Californian, I'm sick of people, even long-term OC natives, calling it "the" O.C.
It's just "O.C.", people. Surfers rule. FX Troop. Where's Delhi? What exactly is a "Triangle Square"? Long Live the Cinedomes! What's Garden Grove's other name and what's Lake Forest's old name (no cheating by googling it)? Name the previous incarnations of the Tower Records at Newport Blvd. and 17th. And Taco Mesa is known for more than just food (5 points if you guess correctly what it is).
My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club
True, but it is part of the greater LA megalopolis. Face it, when driving from LAX to DLR, you would be hard pressed to tell that you were crossing into a different county if there were no signs.

As Bender would say, that not irony! That's just coincidence!
You are quite linquistically right. I stand corrected.

In a similar vein, Corona, Temecula, Murrietta, and the rest of the "951" are NOT in O.C. .......
(note I did not say " 'the' O.C.", which is, I believe, a TV show)
"She's taking everything. She's taking the house, she's taking the kid, she's taking the dog. IT'S NOT EVEN HER DOG. IT'S MY DOG! SHE'S TAKING . . . MY DOG!"
