  • Turkey Legs??

Alright well I'm going to DLR at the end of October and my husband and I just saw on the travel channel a thing on the turkey legs, how good are they really? And where can you find them?

Does anyone have any other suggestions on food that you get everytime you go or you think is a little secret?

^The other location is near the Matterhorn entrance, at the old Motor Boat Crusie dock.

I don't know how good DLR's turkey legs are, but I had one at the State Fair and it was really good. Kind of tasted and had the texture of pastrami or corned beef, it was odd. Not your average turkey taste.

They are very big and pretty much a whole meal (at least for me)

They kind of taste "plasticy" to me, in my opinion. Some people love them, though...

I thought I'd enjoy my first turkey leg more than I actually did. Too fatty and messy for me, imho.

They tasted ok, but they are full of grease. I was starving when I ate it...and I was sooo sick after...but it tasted good at the time...LOL

I cannot recommend the turkey legs but I will say that the bakery in Critter Country is far superior to the one on Main Street.

Both the turkey legs and the chimichangas (sold at the same carts) are great hangover food, but for a meal? I don't know.

I've had a bite of a turkey leg at DL and it was okay, I couldn't imagine eating a whole one as a meal though. And they are only sold on carts, they're not in sit-down locations with side dishes or anything.

I've had one of the chimichangas (bad hangover), and though I wouldn't eat one in real life, it certainly was the best thing for me at the time. It was gooood!
