I love that! It's definitely some vintage Disney that should always remain- as long as the real Grand Canyon has!

The GC and the Dino's were slated for dismantling years ago, but thankfully, Jurassic Park hit the theatre's and a renewed interest for Dino's hit the market. They were saved. Only time will tell for how much longer.

The entire area could use a HUGE rehab and update. They need new lighting, new animatronics, and New speakers on the trains! Those speakers are loud and... really bad quailty. The entire Grand Canyon scene could be so much cooler. It's still a cassic and I enjoy it, it could just use a much needed rehab.

If I ride the train at all, it's when I'm leaving the park. And if I'm in a hurry, I will walk from Fronteirland over to Tomorrowland, just to ride the train out of the park and still be able to see the Grand Canyon/Primeival World diorama.

My mom never took me on it as a kids. I went on it for the first time when I was 14 or so. It was life-changing!!

Definitely something worth sprucing up with some updated animatronics.

I will be coming to Disneyland in July, and the dioramas on the train, are a definite MUST SEE on my list of things to do. I have never been to Disneyland before, or the Grand Canyon, so I hope they keep these dioramas in tact, at least for the anniversary.

I love the music so much, I went out and bought Ferde Grofe's classical CD just so I could hear the "Grand Canyon Suite" anytime I wanted to.

It won't be taken out. It has near $0 operation and maintenance budget.

It's the only reason why I go on the train, I love it.

I hope they never remove the GRAND CANYON Diorama ever. And leave the old sound system alone(good memories). This would be tragic to remove this.
                            It gives a nostalgic feeling.

I bought the record, "Grand Canyon Suite:an official disneyland album" at a little record store in Monterey. I LOVE the music.

I love the dinos and the grand canyon, but my recent trip Sunday met with a few surprises. The T-Rex head was way too high such that I couldn't see it from the train without getting on the floor and the great classic music was gone along with a dramatic narration.

Does WDW have them in it's train loop?
As nice as the other parks are, we must always remember that it all began at Disneyland. Disneyland should be the crown jewel in the Disney crown.

The Grand Canyon Diarama was not duplicated in Florida.

I loved Dinos when I was a kid, and always couldn't wait to ride the drain to watch them. Next time you're there, imagine you're a small child - listen to the music as you start to enter thetunnel and watch the way the mystery builds.

Now I get to watch my son's face as he watches... :-)

                                      Don't touch them!

Isn't it odd to note that the Grand Canyon diorama features real animals that don't move, whereas the Jungle Cruise has fake animals that do?

The Dioramas were Walts idea, and created to give the train ride a "finale". Park officials wanted a furturistic theme, but Walt insisted on a Grand Canyon.

I'd like to see it spruced up a bit, but never removed.
