  • Remember...dreams come true [not about fireworks]

its been a long time since i posted here, but here we go
i remember over a year ago before the kickoff of the 50th, we had people [including myself] infuriated about WDW getting all the love, and we wished and dreamed that disneyland will be the star. now a year later, are dreams came true, we got new and the most advance fireworks, a new and reamped ride, 4 old rides succesfully updated [JC, POTC, HM, ETR], 3 new rides/attractions [subs, mon. inc., first 50 years], a new castle, new implemeted ideas, and in a whole a brand new squecky clean park, on the other hand WDW got either copied rides, or not so good ones [EE excluded], the park is not up on matienence, and their ride updates, though good, arent as great as ours.
so now that the 50th is coming to an end, we can remember that dreams came true for everyone, and we need to dream this continues afterwards and that all parks will be in great condition

Can you tell me what "ETR" stands for please . I'm already giving myself a headache trying to figure it out.

I do admit, the fireworks were really good and I usually hate all of the Disneyland fireworks show. I think Remember is the best one they made.

We all wish it wont, the magic of it was just amazing, but all good things come to an end, and enduring 10+ years of bad managment, the saying is true, with every storm comes a rainbow, and the 50th was disneylands rainbow and pressler and harris was the storm

You're right. Still, as successful, and as nostalgic, and as great as the 50th Celebration was, don't forget the original plans were far superior. The attractions refurbs/enhancements to SM, JC, POTC, HM, and ETC were watered down remnants of a grander plan to revamp and drastically enhance all of Disneyland's classic E-Ticket experiences.

I'm not complaining, and I'm truly grateful for what we got, but I'm not going to be one to over-praise Disney - I still feel that they skimped on the 50th. Such a huge milestone, and in the scope of things, we really didn't get much more than a lot of gold paint, whereas past milestone anniversaries got much more: for example: the 40th got the most groundbreaking E-Ticket adventure Disneyland had ever seen: Indiana Jones Adventure, plus more. For the 50th, our main "new" attraction was a D-Ticket: Buzz Lightyear and the re-opening of a 28-year old classic: Space Mountain.
