Ok, this last Wedsday I am sitting at the red light, I look into the rearview mirror and see a car comeiing up behind the car behind me and BAM!!! She slams into that car and the car behind me slams into me,agh!! I was going to Costco to pick up snacks for our little getaway to Disney. My car is in ok shap, no real dents just scratches, however I now have 0 mobility in my neck. I could not see going to DL and trying to ride my favs! Waaaaa.. I am so mad, the lady that hit the girl behind me which caused her to hit me tried to blame us! It was actually kind of funny, she kept accusing us of "trying to set her up". What the heck did I do to deserve this?! Geez....Im sure Johnny will be looking for me this weekend-someone explain..LOL!

I can just see it now in the courtroom:
Judge: "..and you say they were actually stopped at this red light?"
crazy lady: "yes your honor. They just sat there and didn't yield."
Judge: "So you were just minding your own business, and all of the sudden, out of no where these two vehicles didn't get out of your way?"
crazy lady: "yes your honor. It was quite distressing, if only they would have yielded we could have avoided this entire episode"

I have had this happen to me twice now. Whenever I stop at a red light I always check my review mirror to see what the car behind me is doing. In both cases I was given money to repair my car. One tip of advice I can give is to leave a decent space between you and the car in front in case the car behind you hits you. That way the person in front is not inconveniced. I usually leave 4 to 5 feet.Comment

grrrrr...reminds me of my accident last december...the kid told the cop..."i didn't expect her to actually stop at the stop sign!":blink:
the cop was trying to hold back a laugh as he relayed this to me.
as far as the 'set up' ...i can't remember it..but there's actually a word for it & all the ins. companies have been warning about it...it's a two car plan that they're both in on it & cause the accident.Comment

i found it....
Swoop - “Swoop” vehicle swerves in front of “squat” vehicle causing “squat” vehicle to slam on its brakes, which causes a rear-end collision with the victim's vehicle.
although the one i was refering to involves two different cars in on the scam.Comment
