I was just wondering if anyone here at MiceChat was at the park that day, if so what was the experience like for you? Did they close the park early? Did they have any televisions avabile for your viewing? Sorry for being so Nosey  , I just wanted to know.

Re: Speaking of 9/11...
I wasn't there on 9/11 ... but I was there on the day the U.S. retaliated by bombing Afghanistan.
It was a MouseAdventure day, and one of the quests took us through the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk-thru, making note of many details. Midway through the game, the Walk-thru was closed forever, ostensibly due to the bombing.
If it hadn't been for that game, I would never have gotten a last chance to walk through the Walk-thru, which I hadn't been through in months - if not years.
Le sigh.

So did DL just not open? or didnt anyone actually visit, i mean tourists and guests and such? from that one picture there arent even CM's standing around. That picture is indeed creepy, but geez what a great day to visit, looking back on it, of course.

As God is my witness may I never see another day like this again! This is the spookiest photo of DL I have ever seen. May we never live thru another day that allows us to be able to take this photo again. I know so many wish to forget and bury the memories,Well I don't. Thoughs that forget history are doomed to forever repeat it.

Re: Speaking of 9/11...
My husband was in Anaheim at a conference and the kids and I were supposed to take Amtrak down to meet him on 9/12. His conference was cancelled and everyone was told to go home, but no one COULD go home so they re-opened the conference. We went ahead with our plans. DL was closed that day but reopened, presumably for "business as usual". When we were there 9/13 - 9/15 it was the most depressing place to be. There were only about 30 people wandering down Main Street at a time, and absolutely no wait for anything. The kids thought it was great.
