  • Everyone is Wrong Sometimes...

So I have been cruising around the web looking in the archives of other sites and some of the articles are just so wrong. Here are a couple of my favorites:

David Koenig speculates that DCA ticket prices may go up after the park opens to keep the park from filling up in "Why Disney's California Adventure Will Be a Smash Success": http://www./david/dca.htm

Our own Al Lutz confirms that DCA's ToT will have only one shaft: http://www./archive/update48.htm

Jim Hill suggests the "X Games Xperience" may be the start of a DCA turnaround: http://www.jimhillmedia.com/mb/artic...cle.php?ID=282

The purpose of this thread is not, of course, to blame anyone for providing bad info. I just thought these were fun tidbits to put things in perspective.

    Anybody else have any?
    I didn't say a word.

Kinda funny. Looking back, one wonders how this information could have ever been "correct."

That's what happens when you start to believe your own propaganda.
"Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservative." - John Stuart Mill
      -
"We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home." - Edward R. Murrow
      -
"It's far easier to fight for your principles than it is to live up to them." - Adelai Stephenson
      -
Reason for the Season? Tilt of the planet's axis. Oh, you meant the holiday season? That's easy - Feast of Saturnalia. Disagree? That's nice.

The funny thing is if you look at the picture that was attached... It definately shows three shafts...

Do you think he might have meant one shaft as compared to Walt Disney World's version, which has two shafts that each elevator car goes through? Clearly the picture shows three shafts overall, but I think he might be referring to the fact that DCA's version doesn't have a second shaft for each elevator car to go through; each elevator car only goes up and down one shaft. (My apologies if that sounds unclear; it's hard to describe.)

However... in the same update... Al predicted that we wouldn't get Buzz until after HKDisneyland opens...

But no criticisms from me... I'm just happy to read updates about the park!

Actually, yes... I see what you mean... I guess, Al could have phrased it better... for clarity... Lessons learned...

hahaha, all these articles are so funny. One shaft on TOT? Maybe it was in 'one' of the plans at one point in time, but it obviously didn't get built.
