Haunted Mansion?

When is it going down to be decorated for the Holiday layover? I was at the park last night and expected it to be closed already but it was still open! Some CM in New Orleans Square tried to convince me it wouldn't be open until the day of Halloween but I knew she was full of it because it's marketed as being open for Disneyland's whole halloween gig in October. Does anyone know why they're waiting so long to decorate it?

Seems like they waited later this year. That CM almost had me concerned it wouldn't have a layover at all lol. I need to remember not to listen to CMs.

Well I don't know exactly when in october it is done Karla, but it usually stays up till the begining of January.

it should be open by october 8..first sunday of october...their halloween season starts sept. 29

It's usually open the first weekend of October but no gaurantees this year.

oh man, I would cry if this was down. I looked at the disneyland web site and so far only the matterhorn bobsleds are down and monorail.

Then it should be opened by the time you visit Karla, because I just checked Disneylands website now and it says that Haunted Mansion will be closed for the last few weeks of September for Haunted Mansion Holiday.

It will be opened by October 1st.

But make sure before you visit you call Disneyland just incase to confirm that it will be opened.

NOOO!!!!! Tomorrow is my birthday and some friends and I are going to DL!! It can't be closed!!! My friend, David, just moved back from New York a few weeks ago and he hasn't been back to the park yet and Haunted Mansion is his favorite ride!!! BOOO!

The DL website has it closed until September 28th. It should open up on Friday the 29th. The DL website us USUALLY accurate.

Not lately it hasn't been. I think they were re-vamping the site and things were a bit jumbled.

Yeah, the ride will be closed from Sept 11-the 28th. It's all on the Disneyland callender, that's why I went yesterday. They also have a sign right at the exit advertising Halloween Time starting on the 29th, so I say it is fairly safe to say the HMH will be opening on the 29th.
