The only rides I have left in the two parks are: Maliboomer, Orange Stinger, and Screamin'

After my near death experience with Sun wheel - I am scared!

I did TOT - not one I'd care to do again. Some say Maliboomer is not as bad as TOT. I did the Jumpin Jellyfish and it was bearable (TOT was worse). What do you think?

I did the Zepher - and really didn't care for it - are the orange stingers worse than this? I had an outside seat and felt a little scared going over the water.

How does Screamin' compare to the other roller coasters in DL?

ok, your going to get some info from one scary old lady "me" and I loved the maliboomer, it was not scary at all ( I am serious) hights bug me so bad, this ride was a cake walk. and screaming, no way was I ever going to ride that coaster. no way!!
I did, and I rode it 4 times in a row. I loved it and I look forward to riding it again as soon as I can you will be fine, I refuse to ride that ferris wheel ,no way in ell ever again! but the rides like maliboomer, and screaming, smooth and fun

The Orange Stinger is quite a bit worse than the Zephyr. But, I don't mind it...I kinda enjoy the pulling sensation that makes you feel like your seat is going to pop off from the chains. But DH won't go near it. And he will do TOT and Screamin'. He won't do Maliboomer, though. He doesn't believe that a ride that needs vomit guards would be much fun.

seriously, the maliboomer looks bad but its not!! I repeat its so milkd you will laugh at your self for being so scared of it. I should know, I am a scardy cat! if I can do tot, any one can, if I can do the maliboomer( and I did ) any one can. that ride was boring compared to any thrill ride. it just did not feel like tot, it was way mild

Orange Stinger made me queasy. I've never done it again.

Screamin' was my first roller coaster ever, and now I'm hooked! I even rode the west coast Medusa coaster in Marine World 7 times in a row on a slow day.

The Maliboomer scares me. It looks pretty intimidating, but I want to try it.

As for the Sun Wheel... Haha, I've been hearing horror stories about it, and it makes me want to ride it even more. But if the Orange Stinger makes me queasy, I'm not quite so sure anymore.

I haven't done Orange Stinger. I disliked maliboomer because it is so boring compared to other rides of the same type, Like Power Tower at Cedar Point. It is 60 feet taller and dosen't have the face guards. I thnk the face guards are there to stop spitting more than anything else. I've never gotten the least bit queasy on that type of ride.

California Screamin' is pretty fun. It's not my favorite coaster, but its an ok one. Once again there was nothing to make me queasy. I have not been on BTMRR or Space Mountain since they were closed last time I was there, but it is definitely faster and more intense than the Matterhorn. It is no where near the intensity of coasters like the Incredible Hulk or Millenium Force.

Tried them all, including the "death swing". Hate that darn thing! All the rest you gotta try at least once, if you can try the "swing from hell" you can try anything! California Screamin' is the best! You'll live through them all, trust me!

Screamin' - Pretty decent coaster.
Orange Stinger - I am a big fan of "Swinger" type rides, so I loved it.
Mali - I believe those guards are to keep in the swearing contained. The first time I rode it, it was kind of a shocker (and I don't scare easily), but after that, I liked it.

But that Sun Wheel - I have never been scared on a ride in my life, EVER! I will not ride that again. At least not the moving gondolas.

I have the same dilemma. I also have not been on GRR (but the only thing I'm scared of is getting wet!)

If the Golden Zephyr scared you, I would strongly suggest laying off Maliboomer and Screamin, and advise you to maybe ride Jumpin Jellyfish again.

Don't feel bad. It took me a year to ride Screamin. Now every time I go, I ride that ride 2 or 3 times. I just get a kick out of it! If you've ever been on a roller coaster before, trust me when I tell you this is the smoothest roller coaster you will ever experience. It's like floating on a cloud, with the fun feelings in your stomach when you go over a hill.

Orange Stinger - I was laughing the entire time I rode this ride for the first time.


its just like a really big swing ride. and its about 2 minutes long. its a ton of fun.

maliboomer? yep. haven't gone on that yet. i really want to go on it. i just psych myself out too much.

maliboomer is ok...it's not scary...the worst part is before it shoots up, because it kind of teases you first.

screamin is a blast. I love it. If I sit in the back i feel a bit queasy though.

I have not been on orange stinger, because rides that go in circles make me sick....

No matter what everyone tells you, it's going to be up to you the next time you are there. We could tell you until we are blue in the face that it's fine but if you are not feeling it, you are not feeling it. Every time we go to DCA I plan to to ride maliboomer. I tell myself it's not that bad and I can do it. Then I go to get in line and I can't do it.

Okay, if Jellyfish was just bareable for you, stay away from the Mailboomer. I like the ride, but if the dropping sensation bothers you, don't do it.

As far as the Stinger goes, I can't advise because any ride that spins in circles makes me queasy.

Were you in one of the gondolas that moved? Those scare the beejeezus out of me. Never, ever again. The stationary ones are okay though.

Screamin' is a "real" coaster. You're only going about 25mph in Space Mountain, but Screamin' is over 50mph. I just went on it for the first time in two years on Saturday. It made me nauseous. I used to be a real roller coaster junkie, but I think I'm getting old or something.

My advice about Screamin' is that if you are nervous, dont' do it. I mean, you don't have to prove anything to yourself. Just go on what you enjoy and what doesn't scare you.

Screamin is one of the smoothest coasters I've ridden. I like it alot. The Maliboomer is not worth the wait IMO, it's very short and just not that impressive to me.
