  • Columbus Day weekend + Gay Days = crowds

Both these events fall at the same time - beware of crowds. One gay days site said they expect 30,000 guests for the event

Re: Columbus Day weekend + Gay Days = crowds

And not just the three day holiday and Gay Days...

But the CHOC walk is held Sunday morning, October 8th. This Children's Hospital fundraiser is held before the park opens, though it does have Disneyland opening at 10 AM. Many of the walkers go to Disneyland after the event is over. Over 12,000 folks are expected to do the walk.

So for those folks who thought to be smart, and switch off from the Gay Days schedule and go to DCA on Saturday while the Gay Days folks have fun in Disneyland, on Sunday, the Gay Days folks head over to DCA, so for those folks trying to avoid crowds, it would be Disneyland, but then you are going to join the CHOC walk folks.

Not a good weekend to attend if you are looking for low crowds.

And then next week is the invasion of the folks who live in Utah, as all the school kids get a long weekend due to the "UEA", which has all the teachers going to a conference. Be prepared for large crowds starting Wednesday the 11th thru Sunday the 15th.
