So should I expect crazy crowds this weekend? I hadn't realized it was the half marathon weekend when I was making plans.

I'll be running in it this weekend. When I called a few months ago to book my room at the Disneyland Hotel, I was told that all of the properties are full that weekend! I think it will be a busy weekend indeed.

Gonna be crowded. And parking will be awful too. FYI, Disneyland Drive will be close for the run. If anyone is going to the park this weekend, be aware.

Doesn't the run end in the morning? I won't be showing up until 2 or 3ish.

Will the run affect the 15 minute drop off area on Harbor? and does anyone know if the pins for the marathon will be sold in the park to guests or just to the runners? never mind about the pins just got all the info.

The website says the big marathon is on sunday. Will anything be shut down on saturday?
Would it be an easy assumption to just go strait to Timon parking instead of trying Mickey + Friends?

Okay I found this link that shows the marathon route. Doesn't look like there'll be much access to mickey and friends according to this.

I'm doing the half marathon and we got an e-mail this morning with some info about the pins. During the expo they will only be available to the runners, but whatever doesn't sell there will be made available to the general public.

Just curious. Are they telling all the participants to park at mickey and friends? Or do you think most are staying on property?

Folks are saying the DL hotels are full for that weekend - so I guess many (most?) are staying on property.

The morning of the race participants will be provided with free shuttles from many of the good neighbor hotels. I don't beleive that the hotel I am staying at will have a shuttle, but I see the walk to the race as a warm up. I'm willing to bet many other runners will feel the same way. Parking structutres weren't mentioned in the e-mail.

if you google "disneyland half marathon" you will see the official website, which has all the info about road closings and stuff. I'll be in both the 5k on Saturday, and the Half-Marathon on Sunday. See you there. And my picture made it into the program on page 29 next to Mr. Incredible.
