I heard it collaped into the water because of a rain storm?

Do you mean the tunnel? I think the bridge was taken out years ago when Big Thunder Mountain was built, but I could be wrong...

No, the brige/tunnel that was right across the walkway from BTMR. It extended over the green lake where the flying fish could be seen. I believe it collapsed sometime in early summer or late spring. Since then all they have done is throw a camo net over the mess.
Women, they make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.

During storm season 2 winters ago we had a couple weeks of serious rain. A tree got knocked over and smashed that piece of bridge. Once they removed all the debris it was just the hole in the side of the hill and now they've finally thrown a tarp over it. Sad :/

And I should note that bridge hasn't been up for years. As of about 30 days ago, it started looking like this:

Although... there weren't any recent rains or rainstorms at the time, so I'm not sure that was the cause (I'd vote for old age).

I don't understand the idea of covering the hole up with the camo net. Its fine uncovered, and otherwise just looks like a big cave and can be marked up as another random piece of Disneyland's neat little themeing with or without the bridge.

It was neat, cause at night, they had a flickering red light back in the cave, and it just looked creepy and neat. Too bad its all covered up by a tacky, tacky camo net.

Yeah, at least a cave is somewhat normal. I don't run into too much camo netting when I'm hiking or camping.

I completely agree. I had expected that the camo net would only be a temporary fix for a few days, but they left it there, almost like they were hoping nobody noticed! There's a lot left of this attraction scattered around, and I think that even a partially collapsed bridge would have looked better than the anachronistic modern netting in front of an idyllic pond in frontierland, home of the old west. Bad form.

The sad thing is that they just refurbished and fixed (meaning it was under tarps) it up before the storm hit. Now they are just leaving it destoyed under camo netting for the last months.

Just went back through darkbeer's galleries around when I thought it happened so I could try to find a picture of it.
Here ya go Trees came down and smashed through the bridge and ruined the whole thing.

well, if they'd just removed the trees and left the smashed tracks that would have been fine...an ode to a great ride that modern times ruined
Will there be screams when the sun sets,

Maybe they are doing something inside that they don't wish the public to see.
