How does Screamin' compare to Rock N Rollercoaster in WDW. I just went on RNR for the first time over the summer and loved it. I'm kinda afraid to go on Screamin' since it seems like the hills are huge compared to RNR. Is Screamin' worse (stomach wise) than RNR or is it about the same? Which one do you prefer?

Re: Screamin' vs. Rock N Rollercoaster
Screaming has more airtime; there really aren't any drops on RnRC (my main complaint). RnRC has more positive and lateral (i.e. to the side) Gs, and thus feels more intense. I find CS to be fun rather than intense. Even on the big hill you go up so quickly that the psychological fear doesn't have much time to kick in. Full disclosure, I am a coaster freak, but CS isn't considered to be too extreme. Hopefully the refurb will fix the music.

I have been on both, and love them. I think my stomach seemed to suffer more on RNR, but the theming makes it more of a favorite with my family. When riding CS, make sure you ask to sit in the front. It seems to help me to be able to see the track.

Re: Screamin' vs. Rock N Rollercoaster
As has been stated, I too feel that Screamin' is more fun and less intense. I like RnRC for the thrill of the launch, but the entirety of Screamin' is lots of fun. I also feel that the music on Screamin' seems a lot more orchestrated to the actual layout of the ride rather than just Aerosmith songs playing.

These are 2 I wouldn't really compare. They are totally different rides. I like them both for the same reasons that make them different. But that's just me.Founding member of the B.A. I LOVE US!!

You may have the best relationship in the world with your husband, but there are just times you need your girlfriends. It makes for a healthier and happier you which makes everything else you do better.

Re: Screamin' vs. Rock N Rollercoaster
I believe the comparisons to be mostly correct.
Screamin' is a nice *rollercoaster*.
Rock'n'Roller is an awesome *attraction*. It has a theme, it has great decorations, and everything in it makes you excited - the music, the signs saying "GO!", the day-glo stuff...
It's like comparing Space Mountain with a tubular small coaster at a county fair... sure, Screamin' is nice, but it has nothing to do with Rock'n'Roller. They are in different leagues.

Try not to be a wuss. It is easily one of the tamest looping roller coasters in SoCal. What's the worst that could happen, and how often does that happen?

Re: Screamin' vs. Rock N Rollercoaster
People see different things in roller coaster rides. In the context of Disney themed coasters, I have to agree with others that California Screamin is the weakest of all the North American Disney coasters in terms of theming.
The very strong theme at RnR, coupled with the ride experience, makes it a better experience than Screamin'. At least for me. My only complaint with RnR is that it seems 30-60 seconds too short.
With that said, Screamin is still a fun roller coaster, and being almost twice as long as RnR it certainly does not fall into the "too short" category.
Regarding the actual ride, as others have said the experience is different as RnR has a lot of tight turns and is inside in the dark, while Screamin is outside and has many long gradual turns.
