The last I remember the fort on the Island is closed. Is anyone aware of plans to reopen the fort and even serve food once again?

I'm pretty sure there aren't any plans. There are some places where you can peek in and see, it looks like storage and groundskeeping equipment.

There doesn't seem to be much of anything going on over there. To bad, there's alot of potential on that little island.

as a kid i got lost from my parents 3 different times on 3 different trips on that island, and id always find them in the fort. then id get candy from the store there.

No plans to reopen the fort. They use it to house Fantasmic equipment as well as for Fantasmic performers to prepare for the show.

That's sad. For the longest time the fort was the only place to get Mountain Dew. Plus, the little windows you could peek into and see a bit of early american history was great.

I heard that it got infested with like terimites and it is very unstable and dangerous. So they don't want to risk it with the guests. Who cars about the fantasmic cast they get killed, we call replacements hehehe!
