ok so I am thinking about doing a disneyland trip next summer possibly in late june or early julish. I wanted to wait till the subs were done but lassitter keeps making changes and I don't hold my breath they will be done anytime soon. any way which of the three hotels would you recommend assuming cost isn't part of the equation. I mean I am not going to get a a suite at the grand californian, but would be willing to splurge a little for a room in the siera tower of the dl hotel. anyway I stayed at the DL hotel in huly 2005 and enjoyed it, but am wondering what the experts would recommend. thanks for your help

Re: hotel question for all californians
If you haven't stayed before and money isn't too much of an object AND
you've never stayed, then I would recommend GC. Mainly, because of its
ambience and proximity.
On the other hand like Al wrote in his update today, a lot of changes are
afoot for DLH so you might want to stay there for sentimental reasons.
PP I've heard is pretty nice (remodeled recently; last year?), but for me, it's a bit too far.

If you can afford nicer digs...bump up to the Grand Californian.
If you want to consider perhaps better accommodations off-property to save some money...I'm sure folks here can point you to some good places as well.
Just depends on all the variables of what you are looking for in accommodations. Who you traveling with? Any kids with you? Your age? Special requirements? How long? Hotel for basically just for sleeping or a big part of your stay itself? Those sorts of things. Perhaps you call give us a bit more info along those lines in order to get some good suggestions?

Re: hotel question for all californians
DLH and GCH are both amazing. If you want off property the Howard Johnson Anaheim is great. about 9 min walk from room to park entrance.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
