Main St looks "shorter" from which end?

I read a post on another site that claimed Main Street's buildings were angled to make the street appear longer as viewed from the hub. I thought it was the opposite -- anyone know?

Its looks shortner down main street when your looking at the train station.

Walking out of the park back towards the entrance it looks really close up, so you figure there's no rush and can spend a little while in the shops along the way

And vice versa, the castle looks farther away when you're walking into the park.

It is shorter from the hub. Longer from the entrance. It's called forced perspective. It also makes the buildings look taller. It is talked about on the Walts Tour. Pretty cool!

Unfortunately, no. (Don't we all wish???!!!) But, we had a very knowledgeable tour guide who explained the whole layout and gave us great info about it. You do see the Disney Gallery and how they were laying out the home for Walt & his family. You can see the lobby of Club 33. And have a great lunch at the Gallery in the end. Great tour! Highly recommended!

Yes I have noticed that the Castle looks small at the Main St station, but the buildings look small when you are in the hub. Man I wanna be an architect and do cool things.
