Anyone have any opinions on dinner at the Wine Country Trattoria at DCA. And the breakfast at the River Belle Terrace?

    Re: Dining Opinions

We did the River Belle Terrace breakfast this last summer. Was really good. We had nice seats in the shade overlooking the ROA. Pancakes were good. Sausage was great. And for $6, it's not bad. I would say to get there as early as you can to avoid any crowds.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I LOVE River Belle Terrace for breakfast! We go there everytime! Their potatoes are to die for.

Ok not really, but they are good!

I've never dined at Wine Country Trattoria, but I enjoy at least one breakfast at the River Belle Terrace with every visit. Like mycroft said, the food is good and the price is right. I especially love the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes. Just arrive early enough before the crowds or you may end up standing in line a long time.

Riverbelle is great for breakfast.....planning to go again in a week or so! Great for the kids and the parents.

Trattoria....excellent! Good food, service and they have some wonderful wines also, if your interested.

Yep, we've enjoyed the breakfast at the River Belle quite a few times. Great value and you can't beat the atmosphere!

Probably the best time though was when we enjoyed our meal with Wolfy, Lightyear and Wolfette.

Great company while enjoying the start of a great day!

            Enjoy!

I went to the Trattoria once and was not impressed. Maybe it was a bad day but my salad was wilted and the bread was stale and the service was awful.

              Ta Da!

The Wine Country Trattoria isn't one of my favorites. I think there are far better values elsewhere in the DLR. Although, when you think about it, aside from Ariel's Grotto and the Vineyard Room, there aren't any other "sit-down" restaurants in DCA, and certainly none in that price range. If you want to pay about the same, go to the Taste Pilot's Grill over by Soarin'. The food's much better and since it's a semi-self-serve place (much like River Belle) I have to say that the service was excellent!

Never eaten at the River Belle.

I have, however, eaten at the Trattoria a couple of times and I really like it. They have good wines, the bread was fresh and yummy when we went and their lasagne is out of this world. Very creamy and kind of free-form, if that makes any sense. I can't figure out how they do it. My fiance would really like for my lasagne to be more like theirs but I can't quite get it right. Different cheese, more sauce? I dunno, but it is GOOD!

Personally, for dinner in the DCA area that doesn't break the budget, I'd go with Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel over the Trattoria any day of the week. Just use the GCH/DCA entrance and it's right there, just past the Napa Rose.

Riverbelle Terrace is the BEST for breakfast. Good food and nice place to watch the ROA.

Last visit to the Trattoria was just OK. Good service and nothing bad to say, just would not rush back.

I love the tiramisu at Tratoria! My kids love the food, dd gets the pasta and ds says its the best grilled cheese around-lol. I keep trying different things but always say I should have skipped the entre and just had the tiramisu. Service is hit or miss though, probably the only place I ever ate in my life that I had to get up to get my own drink refill.

We also love Riverbell for breakfast-all of us but watch the lines. Some days the one line is out the door and no one at all is on the other side!

On both of my trips to Disneyland I had breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace the last morning. Good food, and it filled me up all day. I never eat just before I fly and eating breakfast there has been a good choice both times.

i LOVE breakfast at the riverbelle terrace! that is the place we eat breakfast on our last full day there. the mickey pancakes are so cute (and really delicious)! my favorite thing there is the fruit plate because there is so much fruit! it's almost falling off of the plate. the view is also great. i would recommend sitting outside so you can see the rivers of america.

I would definitely say Riverbelle is yummy but my absolute favorite place for breakfast would have to be Carnation! The fried red potatoes.... mmm..mmmm!!

Highly recommend the Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast. Get there early, just follow the crowd that's heading for Indiana Jones right after the rope drop (go ahead and grab a fastpass) and then go straight to the RBT. You shouldn't have any wait at all. Once you get your food, definitely head out to the patio and grab a shady spot right next to the railing. Then you've got a perfect spot to look out over the Rivers of America, people watch, look over New Orleans Square, etc. If you can't get there right away and the line is long, try the apple fritters over at the Royal St. Veranda instead. Enjoy!
