Re: My favorite Remember Firework or Effect!
3 things blew me away on May 5, 2005.
1) The Haunted Mansion stretch room was the most clever use of pyro perspective ever.
2) The Pirates of the Caribbean pyro battle between the Matterhorn and Frontierland was the best use of involving Disneyland in fireworks ever.
3) But, perhaps better than either, I teared up (and sometimes still do) when Walt's voice was played behind Tinkerbell flitting around the turrets of Sleeping Beauty Castle. I couldn't help but think how tickled Walt would have been if he could have seen that effect, that so perfectly resembled the iconic Wonderful World of Disney imagery.
The shiver down my spine, the lump in my throat, and the tear in my eye were more intense than the wide-eyed WOW and thumping heart I got from either the Mansion or Pirates effect, which run 2nd and 3rd.
Ahem, Remember contains wining fireworks effects Nos. 1 through 16 of the best pyro effects of all time!!! (in my book)

Me too!!
I get tears when I stand at the hub and see all the floats stop and walt speak on main street just as he once walked and rode there too!

Re: My favorite Remember Firework or Effect!
All of this great, great show is amazing. I agree with the haunted mansion stretching effect - that's my favorite, as well as the flames of Indy. And, dare I admit - I get a little teary eyed whenever I hear Ariel say "I wish... I wish I could be part of that world!"
But a few other favorites (as well as an excuse to bring some photos into this thread!):

(Ok, well, I was really pretty much dead-center in front of the Castle, but a wee bit to the Frontierland side.)

Re: My favorite Remember Firework or Effect!
I was across from the teacups and got a good view of the projections on Small World and of Tinkerbell. But everyone applauded and cheered in my area during the Main Street Electrical Parade segment. That was my favorite part. Hearing that music where it belongs again.

Re: My favorite Remember Firework or Effect!
I loved the whole thing. I got chills, a lump in my throat, tears, and explosive applause just like I'm sure the rest of you do. I remember the first night I saw it. I was there with my friends, not a care in the world, and as I left after the show with tears pouring down my face, I looked up at the conductors on top of the tunnel at the entrance, and one of them looked at me and said "Thats what its all about!" Good times.Anyone up for a Colorado Micechatters meet-up?

Re: My favorite Remember Firework or Effect!
I loved every moment, every sound, every effect. So glad I got to see Remember... ~10 times during its run. But the single best effect was the look on my 73 year old mother's face when I took her last November. She looked like a little kid, and then it started snowing and she had snow in her hair and tears streaming down her face. I don't know that I've ever seen her happier than at that moment. Thanks, Mr.Disney, for everything.sigpic

Re: My favorite Remember Firework or Effect!
My favorite special effects are the Haunted Mansion Stretching room and the fire in the INDY sequence.
My favorite moment without special effects is when Julie Andrews talks about Walt. I bought the 50th 2 CD set and I get teary eyed EVERYTIME I hear her talk about him. Oh and then when Walt gives his opening day speech I always ball my eyes out. My emotions are saying- Thank you Walt for the Happiest Place on Earth and your desire to make it so wonderful!!!!Foolish Mortal

Re: My favorite Remember Firework or Effect!
There were a lot of great parts to Remember, but you have to admit that the section where the castle is the shooting gallery and the turrets flash as they are supposedly hit and the sparks fly was pretty creative too.
But I'd agree, seeing Tinkerbell recreated from the Wonderful World of Disney television opening was just something you had to see to believe. It's one thing to do that on celluloid, and quite another in the Park, live, night after night, with thousands of people watching the magic happen!Always remember the Disney Magic!
