    I found this a little odd...

    Saturday September 16th...
    I got to the park and was going to the parking booth guy and as i'm pulling out my pass from my purse and rolling down the window, the guy waves us through and says "no charge." Now I found that weird...and I thought, well maybe he saw me pulling out my pass and assumed that I had parking on it. But that means I still didn't get my "where did you park?" tag. That ended up being fine because... We get sent up to level 2-Mickey and there's like nooobody in it! Now keep in mind.. it's exactly 1 o-clock! We parked in the third spot right in front of the escalators in the second row(1st full row) at 1 o-clock in the afternoon...

    I find the desertion very odd... However...the inside and driving around the park wasn't particularly uncrowded...

      A good chunk of the crowds this weekend consisted of participants in the Half-Marathon events, and I think they didn't park in the structure. Don't know where they did park...

          They were doing this on Thursday 09/16 as well around 12pm.
          "And yes, we implore EVERYBODY to follow the park rules. Having off-ride footage is great, but any still photo's or video's taken ON the coasters at SFMM are strictly against the rules. They are there for your (and everybody's) safety." "Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters. " BUT, "​ This is not true. Six Flags does not allow ANY On-Ride video or pictures on the rides. The ONLY way is if you get explicit permission from Park Management." ???

              That happened to us a few weeks ago too. A few months ago we got to the resort at about 3pm and there weren't even any attendants at any of the booths. It was just open with cones guiding us to the roof.

                The only time they usually do this is in the few hours up to closing. But good for those who don't have AP's I guess.

                Maybe they made enough $11 that day.

                  I've noticed that when coming into the park late, as well. (Well, before I started parking at K-Lot all the time, haha.) I think it's because they assume that people who aren't coming into the park until mid-afternoon or later probably are APs or CMs who don't have to pay for parking, and the income that they lose by giving free parking to those who weren't entitled to it is offset by the money they save in not having to staff the booths.

                    Pretty much. My biggest pet peeve is that the marquees with the GREEN or RED lights to inform you if the booth is open are directly above the booths and not visible from your vehicle until you are practically at the booths. This is VERY frustrating when the line gets to be 5 cars or more longer as there is no way to know which booths are open so everyone spreads out and then ends up merging back into the few lanes that are open. It's so annoying. They should have them further back that way less people try to go around the line and end up merging back into it.

                      Could it be a lack of staffing? Seems odd that D-land would want to pass up a easy chance to make $11 per car.

                            Maybe since they are now charging $11, they ran out of ones. What a pain to have to give $9 back to everyone who hands the CM a $20!

                                They were giving free parking in the early afternoon on Bats Day last month, too. Who knows why.
