  • Disneyland Hotel/Ticket Question

    OK,

Probably a stupid question but I am a control freak so here goes. My friends and I will be splitting a 4 day park hopper next week. Their last day is Wed and they will drive home Wed evening. They will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel. I arrive Wed evening and I will NOT be staying there but across the street at the Best Western Park Place Inn. She wants to leave my 2 tickets at the front desk of the DLH for me to pick up. But since I am not staying there, would that work?? how would that work? Would they put it in a file under my name or their names?? Sounds like a mixup waiting to happen. Anyone leave stuff at hotel front desks and it's ok or does it get lost?

Why dont they just leave them for me at MY hotel? They probably could who knows.

    any info
    thanks
    Janette

I don't understand. You first say that you are 'splitting' a 4 day hopper. But then you say they are leaving you you're 2 tickets?

      2/ 4 day park hoppers

      1 adult
      1 child

      She will use them Tues/Wed

Sounds like her friend is using two days of a 4 day park hopper, and she is using the remaining two days, which is technically a violation of the terms and conditions printed on the back of the tickets.

Okay. I would imagine a DLH CM would put two and two together if they were given already used tickets to hold for someone else. I guess if they were in an envelope or something that they couldn't look at it might work. Have you talked to the hotel?

Sounds like a big hassle to save a few bucks IMO.

This is exactly why you get your fingers scanned at Disney World. So people don't cheat the system.

I wish we used to Disney World's ticket techniques.

I know with some tickets I have seen them check people IDs (saw it happen last Wed when I was at the park) If they did that you may run into a major problem, not for the child but mainly the adult ticket.

Sounds a little spicey to me, but I'm sure that it is done every day of the week.

Hotel desks are usually reserved for the use of the guests of the Hotel and since they are/were staying there, then I don't see a problem with them leaving an envelope at the front desk with YOUR name on it. (I actually did just that with an envelope for Wolfy a few trips back)

However, it would be better for you to have it left at YOUR hotel. Less confusion that way.

                    Re: Disneyland Hotel/Ticket Question

We've done that before... On our honeymoon we bought five day hoppers and only used three of the five days. We pre-arranged and sold the other two remaining days on eBay to someone who could use them. I don;t think that it's cheating too bad... it's not like you're making FAKE tickets and trying to use them. It's like splitting the cost of the hopper and paying for the days that you'll use.

We've never had a problem, no complaints from our fellow ticket sharers.

We put them in an envelope, sealed it, wrote their name on it and had it at the front desk. No problems there.

To live would be an awfully big adventure.

Is that like being a little bit pregnant?
