Does anyone know if the 50th penny presses will disappear at the end of September, too? I'm wondering what they will be replaced with and when...

I would guess most of them will just go back to the same
pressed coin that was there previously, but hopefully they

^^^ Spent a lot of money, eh? I only bought the ones that had some good dates. Like 2005, 1982, 1995, 1955. The main, big dates.

My last birthday, I bought one of the collector books and filled it with all the 50th pennies. At the start of the day, I had rolls of quarters and a bag full of the shiniest pennies I could find. At the end...I was certainly quarter poor, but penny rich!
This year, I hope to start a new penny collection. I guess I'll keep an eye on the Gallery site and see if they update the penny press pdf.Originally posted by All4dISNEYComment

I'm hoping they'll still be around on the 30th. Found a nifty site (http://www.parkpennies.com) that has a checklist of all the 50th pennies, plus the location of each machine. They also have a location list for ALL the pressed coins (pennies, quarters, nickles and dimes) currently available somewhere within the resort (including hotel locations). On a side note, I was just looking through my collection.... I have a penny from the Country Bear Playhouse (before it was renamed from Playhouse to Jamboree). Bet that'll be worth a "pretty penny" someday!

Yes there were 51. The last one was for 2005!
I heard from one of the maintenance guys that new designs would come. I really hope so. But you never know. I would definitely look for new HMH quarters. They do that every year :-)
