Disney Vault 28 will not give a discount to Premium AP holders

Lisa caught the fact that in the new AP newsletter, on the foldout on the back cover it states....

Merchandise: Premium Passholders are eligible to receive 10% off selected purchases at most Theme Park and hotel merchandise locations, and at World of Disney Store and Marceline's Confectionery. Please note, offer excludes the following locations: Disney Vault 28, Fairytale Arts, Three Fairies Magic Crystals, Jewel of Orleans, Silhouette Artist, Portrait Artists in New Orleans Square, Parasol cart, and Crystal shops on Main Street and in New Orleans Square.

Why only leave out premiums? And it says PAPs get 10% most places. I thought it was 15%, or is that food locations?

the 15% is for food. the 10% is for merch.

but I can't say I'm surprised.

You are thinking food, Premium AP holders get 15% instead of 10% at the parks and hotels.

Downtown Disney discounts are give to all AP regardless of type, mopst places give 10% off. (Except the World of Disney sstore, and Marceline's, which are run under the Parks department)

Only Premium AP's get merchandise discounts at the Parks and Hotels.

Ah thanks for the info. MAybe down the line they will, but they figure demand will be great when it first opens so they do not need a discount to entice customers. We will have to see what happens.

I have a feeling that the "no-AP discount" will only be in effect at the start. When the big rush is over, they will most likely give an AP discount.

Ya I actually got the job there, but quite before I followed throught with it. The reason why there is no discount is because the clothes and things come from an outside distubitor. Most of the clothing will be past the $100 range and its just an overpriced boutique, hurray!

I was suprised to see that the Crystal shops were included in that non-discount list. I've bought things there a lot and I believe I've always recieved my AP discount...hmmm. too bad.

Well, Napa Rose took away the AP discount, so it doesn't surprise me that another store doesn't give the AP discount.
