Lost my cell on BTRR

I lost my cell on Big Thunder Mountain on Sunday the 18 of Sept. I told one of the CM's and they said to check back with lost and found before I left the park, well I never did I figured what the heck I'll jus go get a new one. I only told them what it looked liked nothing else no name on phone number nothing. Well to make a long story longer the just called me at work of all places and said they found it and would mail it to me!! How freaking cool is that Hahaha!

ahhh.. I love happy endings! Thats so rad! I wonder what your phone looks like now though? I might be kind of beat up.

same thing happened with my digital camera on Indy... they seem to be quite good with the whole lost and found thing..

Yeah, Lost and Found is really on the ball. I feel like a big giant dork for all the times I've had to go over there since becoming a CM (for my PDA, sunglasses, and cell phone), but I always get my stuff back.

My sister lost her cell on Matterhorn. It fell out of her pocket as she got up to exit the ride. We went back about 20 minutes later and it was there with the CM. Happy endings!

That phone has been to Iraq and back so it was pretty beat up before, but your right it will be interesting to see how it looks now Hahahaha!

That's way cool. However, I lost a pair of sunglasses in 2001 in line for Splash Mountain. You know how when you are in line you can look through a little opening and see people going up the first incline/conveyor belt? Well, I was standing an something and leaning back and my sunglasses, that were on my head, flipped back and off of my head and into the depths of the Splashy Briar Patch - I guess. Never saw them again.

Cool story about the phone though. Way to go CM's! You give Disney a good name when you do things like this! Walt is probably applauding you somewhere right now.

My husband left his hat in the pouch on Space Mountain. He got it back latter that day. No big deal to most, but it was his favorite Goofy hat!!

My friend lost their phone on Sunday. Monday someone tried calling him and a CM answered the phone! They are mailing it to him! How cool is that.

sorry to hear that.... I bet Disneyland has pile of cell phones and other 'odd' items from people that constantley drop them, Disney could make a million right there by celling all the crap they find on ebay

Been there done that, the day of the MC Anniversary. Got it back two hours later. So lucky, because it was brand new. The CM's were really helpful that's for sure. Glad to hear you recovered yours.

I lost a pair of glasses somewhere in DL and they never did get found, but its ok they probally turned up somewhere. A few years ago I worked lost and found at one of the casinos here at Lake Tahoe and all the glasses that were never clamed were turned over to the lions club for there programs in helping people with vision problems in other countries. I was told Disney does the same thing, so my lost glasses are probally helping some one see a litter better, some one who needs them more than I do, and that is a good thing.

Wow! I love stories with happy endings. Do you have any idea of where on the BTMRR track you lost it? You're lucky it didn't fall into the water!

I've been lucky with not loosing things on rides. I almost lost my phone on Indy once...FREAKED me out...I had my phone in my back pocket, and then while on the ride, I could feel that it wasn't there anymore, and I reached back and searched for a quick second, and this was right before we went over the bridge, and I was able to scoop up my phone. Luckally there's a ridge so the phone couldn't just slip out the side, but it was still REALLY scary!! I clutched that dang phone with white knuckles the rest of the ride.

They are excellent. My son lost his cell on the Matterhorn a couple years ago. He was hoping to find it before I found out. But, being Disney's great Lost and Found, they looked in his Contact book, saw "Mom" and called it to let me know the phone I hadn't been told was lost yet had been found!! I'll never forget the look on his face when I asked him if he had something to tell me.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine, but his took 3 weeks. Pretty cool all the same!
