We are taking a trip to DL at the end of the month. It is a kind of a budget trip so we are looking to stay at a inexpensive, but near-by, hotel. I have found The Anaheim Plaza on harbor and The Alpine Inn on Katella for about the same price ($69 per night). Any opinions on either of these? From the websites and going by Tripadvisor I am leaning towards The Alpine, but The Anaheim Plaza is a little closer. What do you think?

Re: Anaheim Plaza or Alpine?
Funny I should run across your post. I just booked two nights at the Alpine in October about 10 minutes ago! This will be our fourth stay at the Alpine (family of 4) and we love it! It's walking distance to the resort, especially if the trams are running in the Timon lot. It's quiet, clean, and the night views of DCA are outstanding from the second floor. The ONLY thing I don't like is their breakfast. Cheap danish and not much else.

Re: Anaheim Plaza or Alpine?
I dont like either of these to tell you the truth. I stayed at the Anaheim Plaza in August, because my mom booked it, and was not impressed. The rooms are very old and it shows, seems like they have not been updated in some time. We had two different rooms and one had a fridge and micro but the other didnt have either. Also the water in the shower was freezing, we NEVER got hot water. There are a couple of nice things however, the pool is HUGE very very nice and you can get a balcony or a private fenced patio. If you do choose it, then you can ride the Anaheim resort transit system if you walk over and catch it at the Ramada.
I normally stay at the Best Western Park Place Inn it is right across the street! Love it except the pool.

Re: Anaheim Plaza or Alpine?
I have stayed at the Alpine inn and it was good for the money. It is one the older motels so go in with reasonable expectations and you will like it.
The walk to the park was longer than expected but found out the Desert Inn and Suites had an ART stop, which was a lot better distance after a long day at disney, so bought art passes there and rode. Whatever you choose you will have a great Vacation!Sig by Poisonedapples!
