Video Camera Guts!

I have been dying to tape certan rides but I don't have the guts. Will anyone stop me if I try to tape? Here are the rides;

Opening of Matterhorn
Opening of Space Mtn.
Splash Mtn
Big Thunder Mountain
Indiana Jones

If anyone can tell me if this is allowed thanks!

On youtube I've seen nearly every ride posted via video camera. I don't think anyone would stop you unless you were recording with a the spotlight on.

Personally I haven't video taped anything but if you do a search on youtube you'll find lots of ride tapes!

I just bought " Remeber the Magic " ( before I knew what it was ), it's 10 hours of some guys home movies where he has videoed EVERY ride in DLR and DCA. Any on want to buy it from me?

I've filmed on all of those. Mind, I haven't actually watched the film, so it may be horrendous, but I've at least done it. You'll just probably want to bring something to cover your camera with on Splash.

I've seen all those rides' videos on youtube.com except the beginning of Space. I have seen the 2nd half of the track with the lights on of Space.

Yup, I've seen every conceivable ride on Google Video.
And let me tell you... soarin' over california isn't that exciting
unless you're actually in that gondola. )

Last week we went on soarin' and the CM specifically said
"no taping of the show whatsoever"

The only rides I've evern been asked not to tape are Tower of Terror, Soarin' and a friend was asked not to tape the Maliboomer.

Other than that, I have never had a problem and have taped all of them multiple times. Just hang on tight to your camera. Be sure to secure it to yourself somehow.

For Tower, like every other ride that doesn't allow video recording, they just don't want a light that bugs other guests.

You can videotape Pirates, just PLEASE don't use your light. Once I had this father and son in front of me taping the ride and then turning the camera to themselves, causing the light to blind me.

For Tower, like every other ride that doesn't allow video recording, they just don't want a light that bugs other guests.

Probably more that these are rides where if things are let go they are likely or possible to fly into other guest. The sudden drops of MB and ToT lead to people 'letting go' a bit too easy.. and on Soarin they don't want people dropping something on the guests below them.
