  • Why do people love the Peoplemover??

"It's a slow boring ride in a boring land. Not much to look at while you slowly crawl along. And don't get me started about Rocket rods."

When I was feeling more jaded than usual this was my take. Mostly I've been ambivalent to the Peoplemover. Nothing for it and nothing against it.

Then I rode TTA at WDW last February. I really enjoyed the leisurely ride around the land, peeking into the different venues. Pointing out the sights to Miss A. If anything, I wish it was a little slower so I could enjoy the scenery more.

I now will welcome the day when the Peoplemover returns (someday?)

So, why do YOU like this ride so much and want to see its return?

Many of us were conceived on that ride!

I remember waiting in line for quite some time to get on the PeopleMover.

I like the PeopleMover because it added a lot of action and interest to Tomorrowland. Even if you weren't on it, it added to the atmosphere to just have it in motion above the ground. It was also a nice way to relax and cool down on hot summer afternoons.

Oh, and it was, um, private.

I liked it for the motion and color it added.

Always a good way to start the day. It was calm for the kids. It was scenic for me/wife. Relaxing.

A scenic elevated tour of much of Disneyland. What's not to love?

Because it wasn't a thrill ride. It was a pure presentation piece, a physical manifestation of an element of Walt's dream for his community of tomorrow. The idea wasn't to yank adrenaline out of you, but to inspire you to think how everyday life could be.

I liked it more for the visual it gave to the land. Everything was in motion and looked... well, futuristic.

                            It was relaxing.
Gave me a chance to just sit and look around in peace. I also liked being able to go through multiple rides.
