Well I'm not sure exactly what you mean but I have been walking around Disneyland and been stopped by random people asking if I was a cast member. It always struck me as funny because I would be wearing just jeans and a t-shirt, and maybe a pin lanyard while other CM's were in full uniform. So maybe they overheard me and said "She works here!" or maybe not... *shrug*

Sort of like when we were in Japan with some friends wearing kimonos. A group of American tourists thought that our friends were Geisha. Now they were some silly tourists.

So, is this also like the Club 33 of rides? Only a few select members get to ride you?

Wait.. uhm... maybe we should take this thread into gold.

Re: Do you sound professional?? or Pleasing Asian Tourists

I am Asian so when I go to theme parks a lot of Asian tourists will approach me for help when they are lost or confused. I help them when I can but sometimes they speak to me in a language I don't understand. I'm Chinese/Taiwanese and I speak Mandarin so if someone walks up to me speaking Korean, or Japanese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, or Cantonese (I've gotten all of these languages before) I apologize and say, in English, that I don't understand....

At the same time, if I'm out and about and I hear someone speaking in Mandarin and they are looking for something or are confused about something, I'll randomly bust out my Mandarin skills to help them!

                          My best score ever!

Thats been hapening to me too. I'm also Asain, I'm Filipino/Chinese. Wierd thing was that I helped 2 Japanes girls get to IJA even though they spoke Japanes which I couldn't understand, but they managed to say Indiana Jones in English so I understood where they were going.

I made the mistake of going to Meijer on my lunch break once. I don't know why, but I guess since I had on an ID for Columbus Public Schools, I automatically must work in the groceries.
