Columbus Day Weekend

Is the park going to be packed that weekend? I'm guessing it is... DAPs aren't blocked out all October, so should I wait until the weekend after to take a drive down there with my sister? If I do, I'll only be able to spend the Saturday at the park, and drive home on Sunday because, well... School. But will one day at the park, well, virtually empty, I guess, beat two days at the park that are supposedly going to be crowded?

I dont think it will be any different this weekend. Schools dont get it out anymore so it shouldnt make for big crowds.

Some local and non-local schools do still get out for Columbus Day; government agencies are closed on Columbus Day; the historical data says it is busy - and its GayDays.

Columbus Day Weekend is always one of the busiest weekends of the year; many schools have it off, all government offices are shut down, and its the first big holiday weekend after the post-summer start of school and work and people want a break. It's busy!

Plus, this year, Gay Days fall on Columbus Day Weekend, so it will be even busier as Gay Days gets bigger and bigger crowds each year.

But Columbus Day Weekend is always a very busy weekend, with Sunday being the busiest day.
