A thread describing the 'Tron Room' section of the ol' People Mover gave me an idea as to one way the execs could resurrect this once-beloved ride for customer satisfaction while simultaneously justifying its existence to the money-men:
Temporarily theme small sections of the ride with dioramas/limited movement animatronics promoting new and up-coming films.
Think of it, inescapable advertising disguised as a dark ride!
The People Mover voice-over could announce the title, plot and release dates while a higher-pitched, nearly inaudible voice could target the kids and dogs with toy and video game ads. And as soon as it's time to push the next and future Disney Classic, Mousesurplus could sell all the peices from the outgoing set-up on ebay.
It's what the double-talking Hollywood and advertising types call a 'win-win situation-situation'!
