  • The 50th Anniversary Celebration Comes to an End.....Opinions???

I know this is topic gets mixed opinions from Mice Chatters. What do you think? Are you happy, sad, indifferent to see the Happiest Homecoming Earth come to a close? Was 18 months (which is really more like 16 months) just too long?

I loved all of my three trips to DL during the 50th anniversary. July 17, 2005 was a day that I will never forget. But, DL sure knows how to replace one celebration with another. The 50th ends September 30 and Halloweentime/Year of a Million Dreams starts October 1. My next trip will be in November, at least there will be Christmas decorations up then. DL will really start to look empty in January 2007.....no decorations, celebrations then.

Yes. It's now DL's 51th anniversary and time to get on life.

Yes. The "bling" on the castle and throughout DL has been an eysore since 5-5-05.

No. It will be sad to go to DL without all of the 50th decorations.

No. I can't believe Remember....Dreams Come True and all of the other entertainment is leaving.

I'm indifferent. I love DL no matter what celebration is happening or not happening.

    sad..very sad

The fireworks and the parade were a great tribute to the 50th. Thanks to Matt, the park looked great !! It would have been wonderful if they could have debued a E ticket ride during the 50th celebration (or even on July 17th). We have the subs comming back so that is something to be grateful for !!

REALLY! So the "Year of a Million Dreams" celebration will end before January 2007? Shouldn't they have called it the "three months of dreams" instead?

You get my point. I don't think the Year of a Million Dreams is in the same class as the 50th Anniversary celebration, Christmas, Halloween, etc.

There will never be another Disneyland to me quite like 50th-Anniversary-Disneyland. I hired in the day after the celebration started, and I've stuck it out all the way through. The park's not going to feel quite the same without all the hullabaloo, because even though I did visit the park before I became a cast member, all I remember is the 50th. I mean, I lived and breathed the 50th sometimes up to 65 hours a week! It's going to be hard to let go.

Although I'm not complaining about the decreasing in crowds one bit!

DL was in dire need of repair before the 50th came along.

Gonna miss it if they don't maintain the excellence.
