Thanksgiving Day Buffet at the DL Hotel

I just made our priority seating arrangements for the T-Day Buffet in the Grand Ballroom at the DL Hotel.

It will be our fourth Thanksgiving at the Resort.

Can't hardly wait!!!

What day is the buffet? Is there a website with info?
This Easter was our first D-land Hotel buffet and it was num-ilicious. Is the Thanksgiving buffet a must-do, also?

The Buffet is on Thanksgiving Day (thursday, November 23)

Yeah, we have been to all of the Buffets (T-Day, Easter, Mother's Day and even the one on Father's Day one year).

Thanksgiving is the best IMHO, but they are all similar. Great selection of food and a killer dessert bar! Though the Mother's Day Buffet is geared more towards breakfast than the other two, but it still has the dessert bar!

Did I mention the chocolate fountain at the dessert bar??? LOL (can you tell that I am already excited)

I made ours today too :yea:

Since we had so many people move in our family and a divorce(my brother and SIL)our huge family holiday dinners are no more
So I decided to to this instead this year a new tradtion for us!

Wonderful Buffet....don't miss it! Lots of great food and character meet and greets! Loved it last year....still might book for this year.

Just curious - how much is it? is it crowded? Do you just go for the buffet or do you spend time in the park as well?

Sorry, but I didn't even think of asking the price!

It's around $56 for adults and around $16 for kids. I think the kids age goes up to 10. But I might be wrong.

I should have checked but since we have done all of the Buffets a few times each, we kind of know the price range. Wouldn't make us change our plans if they went up a few bucks. It's worth it to us.

Plus you do get the PAP discount. That helps.

They keep the flow going pretty good. Never too crowded and barely a wait in the buffet lines. Except for the chocolate fountain!!! Lip smacking good!

Our "routine" for the day is that a few of us get up early and go to the Park for a bit. Then return to the room and watch the parade on TV. After that, we wander around DTD for a bit and let the girls have a makeover at LL's (I know...I know. No trashy makeup or hoochie outfits, just hair mostly) to go with their nice T-Day dresses. Then we decide which movie that we want to see, buy the tix and go enjoy the Buffet. After the Buffet, we roll out and over to the theatre to watch whatever movie we bought tix for. After that, we cruise on back over to the Park for a bit.

Works for us!

I hear plans for this year's banquet include a touching video "remembrance" of Yam and Marshmallow.

Yes, the Thanksgiving Buffet is excellent!! Since most of my family is back in the midwest & I don't have the time to get back there for Thanksgiving, I usually go to the DL Hotel with friends whom can't make it home as well, sortof a "home-away-from-home Thanksgiving"...

...guess I should start thinking about what's going on this year

Im seriously considering this. Since most of my family goes away for the holiday, ill be home alone with the kiddies.
