We have been at the Resort for the past three T-Day's. Our experience has been light to moderate in the early morning and late evening hours.

        In between, pure mayhem...LOL

        Enjoy!

I was at DL on Turkey day once and the park was almost empty. no lines on any rides it was great..

now the down side to when i was at DL on turkey day it was in 1968, I think things might have changed a little.......

                    Well this sucks.

The only "holiday" I ever went on was Super Bowl Sunday... can we say OOPS! Eh, but the Raiders got creamed so I didn't miss much.

Why are so many people at Disneyland on Thanksgiving. I ADORE the park as much as the next nut, but Thanksgiving is a time for FAMILY, not rides...

Well, as long as your entire family fits into a POTC boat, it would be a family experience.

Seriously though. If you don't have a big family, I don't see anything wrong with it. Why bother with the whole traditional turkey day thing and all the work involved? Just hit DLR, go eat and hit some rides, have a great time, go home and unbelt your trousers.

Well after Xmas 2 years ago my family started going through a big mess. Last Thanksgiving I was too depressed to go to my GF's fam or down to my dad's to eat or anything. So I thought I could get away from reality by myself for a day...

Superbowl Sunday was NUCKING FUTS! I remember a line clear down to the enterance of Frontierland just to get into the Golden Horseshoe. I also got an AP on that day, that took over an hour.

                                1. it is a four day holiday
                                2. everyone doesn't celebrate thanksgiving in the same way
                                3. you can still spend a day at DL with your family and do rides - they are not mutually exlusive events

Well, in my family, they go to my aunts house who lives in another state. I cant afford to go there so I usually stay home with my kids. Going to Disneyland with my 2 daughters for Thanksgiving would be spending some good family time with them.

The day after is blocked out of CM Silver Pass holders. Yeah, we gound that out the hard way.
That tells me that DL thinks it is busy enough that they don't need CM's from Burbank/Glendale on their day off flooding the place.

I guess I just don't understand. Sure, you can be with your family at Disneyland, but it's another way to "avoid" actually Being with your family. I mean, you can manipulate it so it works, and I'm not saying there is a "traditional" way to do it and that's it, but it seems disrespectful to the concept of the holiday. (yes, I realize that I am defending a holiday founded on killing Indians. If we went down that road, we'd have no holidays at all)

I just feel like it's ignoring family duties on a special occasion...
