StarTours FastPass = TL Congestion!

One of the WORST congested spots in the park is the useless planter and queue area for Star Tours FastPass.

Since that "bulge" into the center of Tomorrowland was added, it has been a total drag to get through there, especially with all the double wide strollers parking for both Astro and ST - - and the usual confused people stopping to ponder ...and the queue is, like, never in use!!! Second worst flow spot next to Adventureland central.

Pull that mess out this fall!!!

Tomorrowland is just a complete mess - almost needs to be completely closed (with a pathway to Space Mountain) down and 'redone' properly like Fantasyland was in 1982 or 1983. I don't like those "ROCKS" at the entrance....they are an eye sore and a nuisance and are IN THE WAY. And I know WHAT you mean about the Star Tours thing......it's not a big time attraction anymore. I mean, they have been going to the same place for 20 years - is another 'flight' that much in demand that a fastpass is needed?

I feel like, in Tomorrowland, the people thought "Oh, there's some groundspace...we'll put the line out here" but failed to realize that the groundspace was for foot traffic.

I dont think Ive ever had to get a fastpass for ST. The line is always under 10 minutes.

I entirely agree. This and the adventureland area are the two area I try to avoid at all cost. I admit, at one time I was an abuser of the double wide stroller, but now it seems everyone has one. I actually pulled some pictures from my grad night in 1989 and that area looks soooooo different, wide open and spacious.

they have not had fastpass for star tours since VERY early this year! They pulled all of the FP things out.

Well said. It's not the be all end all anymore - which is OK......but all of that 'line' area isn't needed at all.

Did you go to the park this summer almost everytime I passed Star tours it had at least a 40 minute wait and all of the line was used.

The queue may not always seem busy, but there are a few times when it does get a line. Besides, since Disney took the time to "extend" the queue, does that not help add to the rumors about getting NEW destination packages for the aging Starspeeder fleet sometime in the near future?

Not completly. The distribution stations may be gone but the wiring and space where they once stood is still operational. They are keeping the wiring and space for when the upgrades happen.

Ps. I wish they would re-theme the overflow queue for Star Tours. It's cheap.

Word. I completely agree with you on this one. Who the hell was the "brilliant genius" who decide to put that crap up at the entrance of Tomorrowland? They need to redo that land...and pronto! Since they're doing Nemo, keep going around Tomorrowland in FULL circle to clean that sorry place up! Honestly, IMO they shouldn't think about making new rides until they fix what they broke back in '98!

Keep the planters, but get rid of the FP stuff for Star Tours.

And MOVE the Astro Orbitor to where it belongs, at the old
Rocket Jet Location!!!!!!!!

So, I could patch into the wiring, connect my own fastpass machine, and make fastpasses for myself?? Sweet.

IMO, the whole inside queue after the official entrance (yes, the overflow room does look pretty bad) needs to be slowed down. A few minutes in front of each scene is all that's needed to immerse the guests. Fifteen minutes tops.

You are so right! You said they need to 'fix what they broke' - it wasn't broken in 1998, so why were they fixing it?! Sheesh.

I agree about the queue area being congested. I would have to say Adventureland central is the worst when it's congested. It took me 20 minutes to go from the exit of Tiki Room to the entrance of the Tiki Room one night. I have never seen something like that until then.

I agree about the queue area being congested but I wouldn't say it's the worst. I would have to say Adventureland central is the worst when it's congested. It took me 20 minutes to go from the exit of Tiki Room to the entrance of the Tiki Room one night. I have never seen something like that until then.

Exactly right. It's the rocks and the AstroOrbiter that cause most of the congestion. And then you get all the stroller traffic in front of Buzz, it can be a real nightmare trying to get to the back of Tomorrowland! The Star Tours outside queue really isn't to blame, I remember back in 1987 when ST was brand new there wasn't a problem because the walkway was much wider.
