Not sure if anyone else saw on DarkBeer's pics but there is a sign for the Jedi Training Academy!!! I think this has finally confirmed the "rumors" so to speak. Can't wait for the weekly trip on Sunday!!!!!:yea:

Ok, I looked through his most current update a few times now - and the only sign I see is the one saying to please stay off of stage. Where are you seeing this picture? My daughter was just asking about the Jedi Academy TODAY and told her that it was mentioned once (by AL) and then I've not heard anything since and it isn't on the entertainment schedule for DL while the Princess Fantasy Faire is (they were announced at the same time in an Update). So, help a mommy out here - and let me know what to expect from the Jedi Academy and if it just might be open in a week or so!?!

11 AM, 12 Noon, 1 PM, 2:30 PM 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM

A Jedi Master will train randomly-selected children in the ways of the Force, show them how to use lightsabers and prepare them to duel against a Star Wars villain!

Oh my heck!! I so hope they will choose a girl!! All my DD plays at recess with her friends is Lego Star Wars (which I think is cute - they somehow don't play Star Wars...not really sure what the difference is...) and she and daddy watch the movies (though she doesn't think she wants to watch episode 3 any more - so she is still somewhat of a girl!!) and play with the legos all the time... oh joy... oh potential sorrow! I hope there is more of a chance here than with Sword in the Stone! (ok, we've been picked for that twice, but we knew "where to stand"!)

Yeah. Dude. Not a rumor. I almost responded to a casting call for that as I am an actress and trained in stage combat. Oh and the calendar for DIsneyland.com is showing it now.
By the way, to answer the question about what do Jedis have to do with Tomorrowland? Quite simple. In the future there will be a technology to bring fictional characters to life. The people of Tomorrowland USA decide to use the tech to bring Star WArs characters to life, given that they are so popular. They use these lifelike holograms to train their children in combat techniques.
And before you can ask, What does Toy Story have to do with Tomorrow, there is an easy answer for that as well. In the future The world will be under constant attack from oversized toys and robots. SO to train the soldiers of the future they start early and teach kids how to shoot.

How was the Jedi Training Academy even a rumor to start with? It was confirmed to CMs weeks ago. It's for the boys what the Princess Fantasy Faire is to girls. Also, a while ago they were looking for people to portray Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Stormtroopers as atmosphere characters. There will also be Star Wars face painting.Comment

Bring on the Jedi fun and Hoopla! i know alot of you are saying "wow...what does that have to do with tomorrow land?" i think walt had this thing about the ideas and the technology of tomorrow. Since the Jedi were these people who support world peace and higher learning, yadda yadda yadda....i think it fits. AND star tours is like...RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! If you dont want this Jedi Training show...than i guess you dont want star tours thereFor me, Tomorrow is everyday...wait...what?
