I only saw a few pictures of the outside, but what do those of you who have seen it think about it? It looks kinda tacky to me, and a little random because it doesn't go with anything else in the area.

Ever heard of the dyslexic man who sold his soul to Santa?

Is this a place to take pictures with the characters or just see them?

Well, it is Halloween. Do Halloween decorations go well with a 19th century Main Street?

Better than nothing I say. I'm hoping to go check it out tomorrow.

I agree and it's attracting way more crowds than Golden Dreams ever did.

(Not that I dislike Golden Dreams, it's actually a fantastic movie but I'm not stupid enough to think that Golden Dreams is pulling in more people than Screams.)

We skipped the DL parade to try this out on our last day at the park. Unfortunately, we should have gone to the parade.

The Screams is supposed to be done in an awards show style, and like any awards show it recycles a lot of footage from old disney animated movies. Nothing new, and the only thing "live" about the show is the audience. There is a CM as the emcee, and a brief appearance by a villain at the end.

Other than that, the best part of the show is that after, there are multiple characters out front that you can get a picture or an autograph from.

I saw this today. I thought that it was pretty lame. It was a cheesy MC showing old movie clips...not much to it.

I agree. While my hopes weren't exactly high for this HalloweenTime offering, I had hoped it would be a little more, original. The film clips were a letdown for me. Yeah I should have expected it because it's about Disney villains, but if I wanted to see that I would watch it on DVD at home. (And mind you, the clarity of the clips was not that great either. Didn't look like they used the cleaned-up Platinum Edition versions for the show.) The one thing I thought was great about the show was when the magic mirror says to Mr. Up-to-no-good, "Roses are red, violets are blue; one dwarf is Dopey, and so are you!" )

What was amazing to see was the amount of interest in the show. The 5o'clock show was packed! CM's actually had to start turning people away! Let's see Whoopi do that!

Yes they do, because pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns make sense in an early 20th century town (hence the Main Street Pumpkin Festival), whereas Chernabog is completely incongruous with San Francisco. Wait till you hear the "Night on Bald Mountain" music playing in that area.

I'm disappointed already and I haven't even seen it.. I hope I get good pictures with the characters at least.

Yes, they do. But Chernabog and all the Disney villains have nothing to do with San Francisco. This was obviously a cheap attempt to get people into the Golden Dreams theater.

I can't believed I waiting in line 30 minutes to see such a poor idea.

At the 2 PM show today there were no characters waiting where we exited the theatre.

All I can say is run screaming away fromt the theatre.

It just seems like that area is a "bad luck" spot. Golden Dreams/Golden Screams - they both sound like a Golden Flop! I have never seen Golden Dreams, and have no desire to see it. Based on what I have read here today I wouldn't waste my time with Golden Screams either.

It is cute - the kids love it! The theater is packed for most every show. The characters are supposed to change periodically (different days -different characters). THe characters are there when you go in - under the entrance canapy just before the turn styles (for the person who missed them when they excited).

It is worth seeing - it is different and as I said - the kids love it.

I was talking to my mom about this last night, my kids will want to look at the characters from a distance, but will freak out if they get to close.
