Got to see the Dream Fastpass, in person, on Sunday. Didn't realize that there were tabs that got torn off, or that it was only good once per ride and only on rides that offer Fastpass. I had this vision that the GOLDEN FASTPASS allowed the holder to go to the head of the line of any ride as many times as they wished.
And I regularly saw families with the Fastpass lanyards. So at least Disney isn't stingy with them.

I saw tons of the fast pass things. I talked to two different dream team people and wasn't given a thing though.. does this dream thing only happen to families?? I hope they target to more than just children and family..

They don't target anyone but the "winners". They receive a computer generated printout to be at a location at a specific time (say 3:52pm) and the specific place (say bench 63 farthest personn to the left) wins a meal. Or at 4:22pm, everyone between the horse tie up and the trashcan on mainstreet, sitting on the curb wins a set of ears. Talking to the Dream Team people keeps you from being where they would be looking.

Since I seldom sit down at Disneyland (unless I'm on a ride), I'm probably pretty safe! Woohoo. Yay for non-sitters!

The pin lanyard is cool...
CM: "Here ya go, a lanyard for pins. It's your dream!"
Guest: "What?"
CM: "Oh, the pins are at stores located all throughout the park. You should be able to complete the lanyard for around $500."
Guest: "Wow! That was my dream! A pointless way to spend an extra $500 at the Happiest Place On Earth!"

ok, this sounds dumb, but how do you get a prize? you sit, you go thru the turn stlyes, and darkbeer says it begins January 2007, why are these people getting things now then?
I need info please. how long is this going for??

I think it's just a random place and time. You DO NOT have to be sitting, as we saw two people walking getting their dreams come true.

Looks like many of the prizes will be handed out while exiting attractions.

This is the best for crowd control issues (nobody can try and cut in line).

Also, many of the prizes will be handed out EARLY in the day, such as the Dream FASTPASSes and the nightly hotel stay, so folks can use the FP's, and the folks can make plans in regards for the hotel stay (you HAVE to use it that night, or the prize will be given to someone else...) NO Prizes will be handed out after 5 PM.

And I NEVER said it didn't start October 1st, I did say that some prizes, such as the Castle stay at WDW would not be available until around the 1st of the year (now changed to the END of January, 2007)

This promotion is kind of annoying. You see tons of people walking around with free prizes and if you don't get one you automatically feel left out and stuff.. I'm not sure I really like it. I hated seeing all of those fast pass lanyards.
