    05-05-05 Castle Dedication at 10am

    Disneyphile called in to report that LeAnn Rimes will dedicate the castle at 10am. It is assumed that she will also sing "Remember When".

    The park is already very crowded. Lines stretched from Disneyland all the way to DCA on each of the entry gates at opening.

    It is strongly advised that you make your journey to the park now to assure entry. Guest Relations CMs are concerned that the park may need to close the front gate to new entries early in the day.

    Good Morning America is reporting that Space Mountain is open. While this would be wonderful news, it is also unclear if GMA is correct. As soon as we have confirmation, we will post on the site.

    I thought GMA just said that Space Mountain was 'returning' not that it was open today.

      Heh, but didn't GMA also say this was the 50th celebration for Disneyworld? I dunno how much I trust their info.

          yeah, I already said this in that GMA thread but...They also said in the beginning of the show that the five crowns on the turrets were for each of the theme parks... :lol:

            I'm not quite sure about that one. Disney has announced in two press releases that it will be opening on the 15th of July with the most recent one being on May 3rd.

                GAH... this is killing me... i dont have cable... i wish that I could just get a live feed off the site... if anyone knows how I can that would be wonderful... and when I say I dont have cable I mean we dont even get the local stuff... nothing...

                  Disneyphile called me again from Space Mountain. It is closed as we all suspected it would be.

                  (FYI - I didn't see the GMA story on Space. I have just been receiving calls all morning from people asking me if it is true, which we can now confirm that it is not.)

                    Thanks for the info, Dusty! Why aren't you there? Was it because you were there yesterday? (Or am I just confused?)

                    I wonder how crazy it'll be for the 17th, but this is getting way more hyped. Perhaps they'll change the marketing plan in June to focus on the actual 50th.

                          They said it would be returning later.... it got it's own extreme makeover.... Bla...

                          They said 50th for Disney parks as well.... (They broadcasted from WDW (MGM Lights Motors Action) & DL(Front half the park mostly))
