Re: Tower of Terror Lightning Effect - Part of Disney's HalloweenTime!
That's quite the effect! Love how it looks. Bet it's even cooler in person. Thanks for the post.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

That looks awesomely* spooky. It just seems like an entirely different place when all lit up at night like that (I never got the opportunity to go later in the evening).
The bat-arch does indeed rock. I look forward to seeing some of this promised theming!
Re: Tower of Terror Lightning Effect - Part of Disney's HalloweenTime!
Thats awesome Keith thanks.. It sad thos since Dca ususally closes at 6pm and its not dark enough to appreaciate it. But usually by 7 8pm it rocks.. I wonder how it looks on the ride..
Re: Tower of Terror Lightning Effect - Part of Disney's HalloweenTime!
Thats sick! Last time I went during regular park hours, they still had the sound effects playing which frightened everybody sitting around the fountain (cuz that where the speakers are). The thunder sounded amazing! I wish I had speakers like that... They also had sounds of little girls playing which was terrifying (little girls scare me) and they also had a sound effect of bats rushing out of a cave.
Re: Tower of Terror Lightning Effect - Part of Disney's HalloweenTime!
DCA closes too early during the week and it is not dark yet when they do the stories one hour before the park closes. Then on Friday and Sunday nights when the park would normally close after dark, they are having Mickey's Halloween Treat, so it still closes early. So Saturday night is really the only time to see the lightning. Last week I walked by when they were doing the stories in full-daylight after 5:00, and it was just not the same at all.

Actually, DCA usually closes at 9pm---but on October 22 they closed early at 6pm to the public, but they were open to 11:30pm for the special Halloween event that required a separate ticket.
