Bringing Back Characters for the Year of Dreams?

Apologies if this is already widely known, but are they bringing back seldom seen characters for the new promotoin?

while walking to lunch on Sunday, we saw Rafiki... I don't think I've seen him before or heard that he's usually out? So I was just wondering

I don't know about that but at Mickey's Halloween Treat at WDW three years ago right after we got off POTC Rafiki walked up to my Dad and tapped him on the shoulder. It scared him to death. He was so suprised. Since I could see that it was happening I had my video camera out and me and my wife sat and laughed. Seeing a thread about Rafiki reminded me about that. I need to find that tape.

Rafiki is out and about. He's in adventureland sometimes and is in the parade obviously.

We got pictures with Rafiki last year by the Tiki Room. Maybe he is just a hit or miss character.

Mary has a penguin with her sometimes. I'd love to get a pic w/him sometime.

The Penguins from Mary Poppins were out on this past Saturday ... they are semi-usually out on busy days. Normally you can find them near Main Street if they are out.

When I went in Feb I saw the Penguin with Mary Poppins. I have proof!

I think they keep changing the names on the Penguins. Cause the 3 pictures I have of them and autoraphs they all have different names. And when I see other people with autographs from the Peguins it's different. Here are the 3 names I got.

My daughters had their pictures taken with a penguin at Goofy's Kitchen in August.

The penguins are fairly common, and sometimes wander around by themselves. Rafiki is very hit and miss, but not incredibly rare- usually seen in Adventureland or Main Street Town Square.

Speaking of rare characters out and about, walking by Golden Screams today the Hag from Snow White was out for pictures and autographs, I've never seen her out before.

I have seen Rafiki and the Marry Poppins Penguin...just no proof. You will have to take my word for it.

mrmainstreet...there are alot of rare villian characters at the Goldem Screams. Its for the Halloween Time. Its a great thing.

Some of the characters I wish that would make a comeback for autographs in the parks are:

Pocahontas & Mekko the raccoon
Captain Hook & Schmee from Peter Pan
Mulan and that dragon character (I can never remember his name)
The witch from Snow White (not just during Halloween)
Jafar and Genie from Aladdin
Tinker Bell
Dumbo
Scrooge McDuck
Hewie, Dewie & Luey

There's many more, but those are the characters I haven't seen around the park for at least 10 years, some maybe not at all.

We saw the wicked queen from SNow Whilte (dressed as a the hag) at Golden Screams. Cruella was out in the DL hub (instead of her usual place in DCA). I am hoping to see Malicifent this Halloween season - but CMs don't think she'll be out.

The other villians I have seen at Golden Screams: Hook, the fox, the cat, Queen of Hearts.
