  • Best Italian Food?

Ok. The thread about Hamburgers got a lot of responses and some great ideas for me. Thanks for all the info by the way. What I want to know now is where is the best pizza/pasta at the Disneyland resort? BTW, I should also point out that I will not have a vehicle so suggesting "Mama Mia's Old Italian Restaurant" 5 miles down the road won't work.

These are in either DL or DCA. Other folks might know of some other places.

Wine Country Trattoria at the Golden Vine Winery
for casual dining, the patio is great. This is our favorite Italian food in the resort.

The Vineyard Room at the Golden Vine Winery
    for more formal dining

Redd Rockett's Pizza Port, hosted by Buitoni®
    Italian, cafateria style

    Plaza Inn
    Italian, buffet style.

IMO, the best pizza is the barbecue pizza at the Cove Bar in DCA or the the pizza at the Storytellers Cafe and you can get them made to go!!! They're yummy!

IMO, the worst pizza is at that Rocket Place.

Naples in DtD without question. Although we did have a yummy slice of pizza from Redd Rockets on Saturday.

I will never dine there again. Had a really bad experience with the service (or lack thereof).

The only italian food I've had in the parks is the Redd Rockets Pizza. It's pretty good IMO.

Be careful with Naples though - watch the bread they give you - I have been served bread that was taken off another table there...

In DCA - next to the winery is the Tratoria. They have great lasagna - and you can change the sauces on it (i.e. Chicken Alfredo lasanga can be chicken marinara lasagna).

Okay, just outside of the resort is a pizza place called Marri's - they will deliver. They have the best pizza! (and a bunch of other italian dishes) We get it at least once, sometime's twice when we go!

I like the Tratoria in DCA and Red Rockets in DL. Haven't been to Naples. At the Tratoria I recommend the meatball sub. It is very good. Over at Red Rockets my wife and I usually split a piece of pizza and the Chicken Fusilli. I think both are excellent.

I do think that I will try Marri's though. My parents had some pizza delivered to their hotel a year or two ago and they said it was some of the best they had ever had. I wonder if this is the place they got it from.
Check out my new Disney Blog here. What it lacks in quality it makes up with... Well, nothing I guess.

So glad to hear there is a good place that will deliver. We are planning to order in pizza the first night since the park closes early.

Enjoying the warmth and sunshine of Phoenix between Disney trips.

I LOVE the Chicken Fusilli at Redd Rockets(the pizza salad there too )
Cove Bar Pizza is tastyyyyyyyy. I've had the pizza at Napolini's and it was horrible, but never at Naples. At Plaza Inn I always stick with the Cobb Salad, it's great there.
We're doing the Trattoria for lunch Friday, I can't wait

Only 'italian' I had when I last went was Redd Rockets and it was pretty good, just as good, maybe better, then your usual chain pizza places.

Try Buca Di Beppo a few blocks south on Harbor, especially if you have a large party.

The pizza at Pizza Port is okay, nothing to write home about. Though the Countdown Chicken Fusilli is absolutely divine, if a little large. When my mom came to visit, we went to Pizza Port for dinner and split an order of the stuff, and we were both happily stuffed. Days when it shows up at the Inn Between and I can get a half order for $2.49 are gooooooood days.

For my money, the best pizza at the resort is Whitewater Snacks. The waits have gotten rather long for hot food, but the pizza's excellent. I also remember Naples being quite good, but they're pretty expensive, and I haven't eaten there in years.

If you're looking for pizza, don't go to the pizza o mow mow place. It sucks.

The pasta at DCA's Trattoria was pretty decent - I had ziti with sausage, and a red sauce. I agree that the Pizza Oom Mow Mow place was horrible - ate there once, never again.

The salads at Pizza Port are yummy, esp. the pizza salad. If you like paninis, I would suggest the grilled veggie panini at the La Brea Bakery - right next to World of Disney.

Naples has the best pizza in DLR. Vinyard has best overall Italian, with Trattoria second. If in DL, Red Rockets pizza is good. Buca Di Beppo is awesome if you are outside the park. Fun place. Try the kitchen table for 4 or fewer guests (reservation required). Of course, this all varies with personal prefereces.
