I was closed yesterday. I didn't check today. I don't ever use it. I jus happened to be passing by.

It's not, anymore. It opened 2 weeks before this thread was made. It was closed for remodeling of the entry.

Why is Harbor entry closed, (I'm being stupid I know) I'm guessing its just for parking.

    Somewhat off topic....

In many cases I find driving directions given to be by sites like mapquest to be rather ridiculous, taking you down streets that you'd never use, and taking you way out of your way if you're not careful. I quite often use Mapquest just to give me a general idea of where the place I'm going is, and figure out my own directions.

And don't GPS systems give out wrong info sometimes too?

Of course, I'm 50 years old and usually communicate without my cellphone, so I guess I'm a dinosaur.

Not the old ones. They did not go back and add in all of the past cards sold at The Disney Stores.

^^ The Disney store gift cars can be used at Disneyland, DCA and DisneyShopping.com

Just to bump this up, I tried using a Disney Store gift card at the Emporium on Monday and it was not valid. The card came up as an "unidentifiable account" or something like that.

    I was so bummed.

Nobody is putting you down. They are puzzled, however, as to why a new thread was needed when you could just look up the answer in the other thread that you started. The information hasn't changed since then.

Maybe the stores in CA operate different but the local Disney Stores around here no longer accept returns from Disney parks and resorts. And those returned items would be resold at 50% off if it was and item not sold at the stores (which most of it was). Usually those returned items would never even be seen by guests cause on of the CMs usually buys it first.

But then there always is this interesting thread.

I'd imagine you wouldn't sell a return from Parks and Resorts at 50% off if it was something The Disney Store actually sells, like DVDs and CDs though...

Whether one can really say The Disney Store "[is] still Disney" is debatable. We don't give regular Disney Store employees discounts anymore, nor do they have park admission and sign in privledges. Some changes that have happened in the past few months kinda have me wondering if Disney seeks to reacquire The Disney Store, though. Disney Store gift cards are now interchangable with Parks and Resorts gift cards, and Parks and Resorts will take returns from The Disney Store. I don't know if The Disney Store will take returns from Parks and Resorts though.

My reason for posting this thread is because i want the 411 on how i can become a Cast member at disneyland. Mainly anything on main street.

I currently work at The Disney Store (Not owned by disney anymore, but its still disney) So i have retail experience, so i'm looking towards the emporium. But anything is fine with me. I just want to work there.

[email protected] (I do know how get there without maps or GPS )

I think it started off serious (but I hope not) by someone who says they are a CM in their profile, but who can only find their way to Disneyland using their GPS tracking system (don't know what they do if it goes out), but has gotten humorous. Sadly, my brother is similar. We come down from N. CA, and everytime he wants me to print a map of how to get there. I try telling him, its not hard, stay on CA-99/I-5 for 5.5 hours (if you stop and eat in Bakersfield, adjust your time), get off on Harbor, there it is! But I end up making the map anyway.
