  • CM holiday parties (tentative)

From the calendar, it appears that the annual cast member holiday parties will be held Monday Dec 4 and Tuesday Dec 5. DL will close that day at 6PM. These dates are similar to previous years' dates.

In a change from previous years, DCA will be open until 9PM on those days.

Please make a note of this.

I have to ask, if the CM's are enjoying the parks, who's running em?

That's why we have the Family Parties on multiple nights. So every CM can enjoy it.

You work one night and attend the other. I'm really looking forward to it this year, I hired in like five days too late to go last year.

Lots of people from Burbank. For some reason over 9 years as a CM I only had to work a CM party 1 time. I must admit that it was very fun to work that night though.

I've heard that Jungle Cruise at the holiday party is legendary. If I do end up working one of the parties (and I more than likely will, given I'll need to take time off that weekend for Candlelight), I really hope I'm put there.

It's toned down a lot over the years. In the past, imagineers from Burbank would come down and take over the boats, which they enjoyed immensely, so they STAYED in the boats. That left us "regular" skippers free to run around the park and do stuff we're not normally allowed to do (ride other rides, eat popcorn on stage...). Since DOSH came into the picture, the imagineers aren't allowed to actually drive the boats. They can still tell the jokes, but we have to drive the boats for them.

are the cm christmas parties only for cast members, or can guests go too??

(though its too late now because its 12/19, but maybe next year?)

CM parties are for CMs only along with the guys from Burbank who are also considered CMs. Depending on the dependent listings tells how many tickets you get *I think*. When I worked there I was allowed one ticket to bring a guest but I think if you have a family you get as many tickets as the number of your family.
