POTC Bomb Scare?

One of my clients just came back from Disneyland at the end of September. She said on Sept 16, she was on POTC and they were stopped for about 25-30 min on the ride and then escorted off because of a potential bomb threat. What really happened? Anyone?

Hmmm.... But dont you think if they did have a bomb scare they would have taken action a different way then just closeing it down for 25-30 min? who knows! its was probley some jacka$$ who jumped out of the ride.

I do not think that Disneyland would announce to a guest that there was a bomb scare. It could cause panic. And I do think that if there had been a bomb scare and Disneyland was telling guests, news of it would have filtered out to news sources ( internet or mainstream). The fact that only this one person seems to have this information makes it very suspect in my mind.

What I think what happen is that the ride boat are getting stuck on the water drops.

I do not think that Disneyland would announce to a guest that there was a bomb scare. It could cause panic. And I do think that if there had been a bomb scare and Disneyland was telling guests, news of it would have filtered out to news sources ( internet or mainstream). The fact that only this one person seems to have this information makes it very suspect in my mind.

If there was a bomb scare, I doubt they would have been "stuck" on the ride, as they would proabbly have evaced the park or at least the land. I agree, most likely the boats got stuck at the drop and the ride got evaced. Sounds "normal".

That is what she heard, I agree that there would have been more Press about it if it were a bomb scare. But she is just telling what she was told. Thanks for clearing it up.

Nobody there would have told any guest that there was a bomb scare. If it really was, they would have said it was technical problems or something.

I was there and I rode pirates three times that day. I heard nothing about a bomb. I think your client may have been hearing things. Maybe a rude castmember was playing a joke. I doubt it though.

It was just a simple confusion.

Someone yelled out "Yo, this new Jack Sparrow is da BOMB, y'all", and naturally people thought it was a threat.

Happens all the time.
