DCA's Block Party Bash!!!!!

OK I just want to know what everyone else's thoughts are on the parade?

Because for me? I loved it! I thought it was great fun for for all!
From having to do the macarena :lol: LOL, to screaming, jumping and etc.
I loved it great fun

Now your thoughts please?

I REALLY hope BPB stays for a very long time at DCA. It's getting GREAT crowd reactions. I personally love every bit of it. Sooo much energy -- it's just so UNCONVENTIONAL in an entirely good way. YAY for having GOOD entertainment in DCA!

Although I did feel bad for the performers who were pouring with sweat but it was great energy! Props to them all. :bow:

I watched videos of this and parade of dreams and I have to say I love Block Party way more. the only I liked in parade of dreams was the anamatronic characters. other than that it was so boring. Block Party bash on the toher hand was AWESOME! I love the music in it. i found myself getting up and dancing while watching the video and I watched the video like 50 times I loved it so much. Block party Bash is already a hit and I can see why. its AWESOME! Everyone in the audience wouldnt stop screaming and dancing. thats signs of a hit! shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your booty, shake your booty!

My wife and I love it. Parade of Dreams had amazing floats, but the interactive parts of DCA'S BPB were amazing!!! I got in on the Army men's cheering training, I had a "blast" Good times!!

I've only seen clips of this but it's interesting to hear that DCA got somethign BETTER then Disneyland as far as parades go

this deffinatly is something new and innovative though

one thing I find funny is that fora while on some message boards people were questioning it's relatedness to California

but for some reason int he clips that I've seen with the sounds that I've heard from it the parade seems very "California" to me

I think the lively ness of the show is "california" because california is lively. other than that I dont see a connection but it doesn't matter because this parade is AWESOME! Besides, not everything has to be themed to California. Even though I live in the golden state, I would go crazy if everything there was themed to California. They have to incorperate the disney theme in too.

yeah really everyone is talking about Block Party bash ands it getting rave reviews. does anyone know if the 11 minutes of the shows includes the floats moving in to their stop? I sure hope not. I hope its that plus 11 minutes of the show becuase this parade looks so awesome and I keep on watchin those dang videos because it looks so fun. doesn anyone know if there will be a new DCA cd with the Block Party music on it? I hope regis and kelly do a segment on Block party bash while they are there. Is their show being taped in DL or DCA?

But so far, the folks are PACKING the pathways at Disneyland to see the new Parade of Dreams, while Block Party Bash is lucky to have folks 2 persons deep along the route.

I don't see how anyone can say that Block Party Bash is the more popular parade.

I happen to prefer Parade of Dreams, and so have others I have talked to that have seen both in person.

DCA needs all the help it can get. If most people like the parade, then GREAT! I did love "Eureka!" and they took it away, so I hope they redeem themselves with Block Party.

I think it all just depends on who you talk to. some people prefer Block party Bash and some people prefer Parade of dreams. I think they are equally popular its just that parade of dreams has gotten more publicity so more people have gone over to see that and everything else at Disneyland.

My mom came with me on the 5th and we were still debating over whether or not we should have bought her a parkhopper ticket because I wanted to take her on TOT and watch BPB. BUt, afterall, we didn't buy the ticket( ) because we thought we wouldn't be able to get back in to DL.

I think it simply a matter of more people being in Disneyland at the moment. I have heard wonderful reactions from the Parade of Dreams but I have heard even more glowing reactions to BPB---so my thought is that because one is fantastic and one is great doesn't mean one is winner and the other the loser.

man ah shucks I hope darkbeer will read your post so that he can see that Im not the only one that has said that I have heard more good things about block party bash than I have parade of dreams. after all the hype more people will go and see Block Party Bash.

You can't even compare the 2 parades; They are totally different. When it comes to Block Party the first show stop has sooo many people watching that it's hard to see the back of the crowd.....Yeah the second one is only 2 rows deep but thats because of the alotted space and the third one has less people than the first but I attribute that to DCA's popularity not Block Party....I'm proud of what Block Party has turned out to be.....Literally Blood Sweat and Tears went into this show and the audiences have been great. For all those who just don't like the show there's no need to keep complaining about it. It seems like there's just no pleasing people.....You have a traditional parade POD's that you don't like, and non-traditional BPB.....I'd like to invite those who complain simply to not see the show anymore so we don't have to hear it.
