I waited three and a half hours for Indy Jones back when it opened. We got in line over in Frontier Land. Went out on to Main St. and wound up and down a little between Frontier and Adventure lands. Then down and wound up and down on the bridge into Adventure land. Next it was more or less a straight shot through adventure land with CM's stopping the line so people could cross. Then we got to wind through the maze next to the building. When we finally got to the building entrance we thought we were close. Boy, were we wrong.
Check out my new Disney Blog here. What it lacks in quality it makes up with... Well, nothing I guess.
Yeah indiana jones is probably it when it opened and the line stretched out into Main Street. Space Mountain's had some long ones too but I'm not sure it ever beat Indy for me.
"I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. "Groucho Marx
Come to think of it, my little brother Mikey and I waited 1 hr 45 minutes for Space Mountain like in 1982 - the line stretched all the way to the Monsanto attraction under where the Peoplemover track split. But shoot, I was 11 and he was 7 at the time - we had STAYING power.
Today - 24 years later - I'd say "Forget it, we'll get on it next week."
Yes, I went to Disneyland and someone insisted that we go on Indiana Jones (pre fast pass). I swear that line was almost two hours. And then I didn't even remember much about the ride, I was so tired and it seemed so short!
Mine was 70 minutes for Roger Rabbit's because I didn't believe the line would be that long...it was. FP that every time. Other than that I remember waiting somewhat long (don't know the exact wait) for Indy when it opened.
I was young and dumb... 3.5 hours for Space Mountain when it originally opened. It may have been 4.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.
Oh gee... A couple hours when Indy first opened and probably at least that for the Rocket Rods. I can't remember how long for Star Tours but I am a huge Star Wars fan so time was no object. I never waited long for Splash Mt. because it scared me too badly (both the drop and the lines) until Fast Passes.
I'm pretty sure that the longest I've waited in a line was for Splash...but that was a long time ago, and I can't remember the exact time I spent in line. I lucked out with Indy and Roger Rabbit...got to ride while on break, back when I worked at the Happiest Place. *sigh* Those were the days...
Anyhoo, I won't wait in a line longer than 45 minutes now...and Hubster will usually nix riding on anything longer than a 20 minute wait! We usually just FP the rides we want to go on.
We are lazy adults now.
Very lazy.
I was wondering when someone would mention Rocket Rods---Ghastly line!
about 1 1/2 hours --- Indy opening was also bad but at least it moved.
You could pull up a chair in Rocket Rods line
Worst ever was non Disneyland Waited over 3 hours -when Jurassic Park ride opened at Universal ---Could have seen the whole movie in line.
And ride now has about 5 to 10 minute line on busy day. Line actually went through several sound stages it was so long. Very disappointing --only half the Dinosaurs were even working.
A love of Disney that sometimes borders on the edge of crazy ---but I'm okay with that
