  • DisneyLand Adventure Intro

Hey, this is a DisneyLand intro I made to my DisneyLand Adventure movie. Tell me what you think, I made it a while back but I would still love your opinions. It's all me, I did the editing, and video taping. Anyways, enough blabbing.

This is a intro I made to my FULL length video project, The DisneyLand Adventure. It's really cool so you should totally check it out! Please leave a comment...

Haha I did something like this when I was younger. I did an intro for it too hahah. Oh the silly things we do when we're young.

Way too much black at the beginning, too many titles, way way too slow - and when the action finally starts its just a series of ride POV's. With the wrong sounds no less...

I thought it was pretty good. I give you credit for taking the time! That can be alot of work. Not bad, keep up the good work and before you know you'll be producing full length films.

It did take too long to get into the action but when it did I enjoyed the video. Nice job. I know that it isn't easy to do that.
Check out my new Disney Blog here. What it lacks in quality it makes up with... Well, nothing I guess.

              DOES ANYONE REMEMBER KCAL KIDS?

We had it down in So. Cal but I dont think it went national. It was 3 teenagers that would have adventures around Disneyland then they would show classic cartoons! This was probably about 15 years ago.

Lemme rephrase. It isn't a movie, its more of just rides video taped in one "film." I have all the different rides video taped from my camera, and i re-did the music to the rides with precise accuracy where the music actually comes in. I also gave each of the rides their own title sequence (not shown in intro). And for those who think it's to boring in the beginning, it's called suspense. Does every thing on earth have to immediately start with action?

Lemme also ask, why too much black? I have titles, and images pop up. you guys make it sound like i just have black.

Yeah, it realize its not a movie. I think its a great idea your putting the major rides into one. So far it looks great, keep up the good work. If you ever need help w/ any editing stuff email me, i'm really experienced in that stuff

                      Re: DisneyLand Adventure Intro

Actually I'm done. I finished about 4 months ago. it's just thats the only part i've uploaded (because its a long video) and i show it to people so they can get a basic feel what its like. That's the intro to the film, which is about 2 and a half hours. It includes: (in order)

                      Indiana Jones
                      Jungle Cruise
                      TikiTiki Room
                      Pirates of the Caribbean
                      Haunted Mansion
                      Haunted Mansion (christmas)
                      Splash Mountain
                      Whinney the Pooh
                      Thunder Mountain
                      Mr. Toads Wild Ride
                      Small World
                      Mattahorn
                      Star Tours
                      Buzz Lightyear
                      California Screamin'
                      50th Fireworks show

Star Tours and Small World aren't mine. I couldn't get my camera into star tours when i went, so i found someone who video taped it awhile back. ANd small world, i just didn't have the time.

I thought you did a good job, but I do have to side with the people that felt there was too much "black." What I mean is the intro went on a bit long for me. I understand you want to create suspense, and I wholeheartedly agree that the intro should have some. But if you trim your intro by about 2/3 it would have a better flow.

I know it's difficult to cut down a sequence you think is good. I've had to do the same thing with sequences I've edited - even change out an entire section. As they say, "Sometimes you have to kill your darlings," to paraphrase.

And the black between the still shots felt a bit long as well.

The rest of the sequence worked for me. I didn't expect there to be production audio. The shots were well-paced and varied. And good camera work on some of the dark rides. Those are very difficult to see on video usually.

Overall, good work. Thanks for sharing with us. I'd like to see some of your other videos posted.

RPH, you had some great comments. I can see trimming parts (i cut about an hour from the final, just some little stuff). but the intro, was a little un-cutable. I needed the WHOLE Walt speech, and at the time I couldn't find footage of him. and i wanted the whole song of space mountain (so i didn't cut for musical purposes). BUT i could have put more pictures in between the black parts.

If you go to the link for my DisneyLand thing, click my user name (disneydude) and all but one of the videos are mine (the halo game isn't mine). I'd watch the september 11 tribute, because i've gotten a lot of people wanting it on their sites.

Heck yes! I would always watch to see if they would ride the rides. I remember one kid was too scared to go into the lobby of HM. I don't know why I know this.

I've only seen one other person on the internet who is selling a DVD of all the disneyland rides. In ways its better, in ways its not.

                                Better:
Every ride you could want (except for, pirates, and tower of terror).
Better video quality (little bit, little)
HOURS and HOURS of footage of walking around. Its like a 20 DVD set i believe so it has basically everything
                                Not better:
No intros to rides, nothing cool. Just has the rides and places and thats it. Nothing that took effort other than just capturing and burning.
Camera work is a little crappy.
                                A but load, like 50$
