  • Future Disneyland anniverarys?

Since Disney turned Disneyland's 50th into a world wide celebration, confusing a few people with some of those ads.

Do you think Disney has screwded up there chance to overly market the anniversary's of the other parks in the chain?

I mean this is MK's 35th and theres nothing, kind of hard to say hey "last year we celebrated the 50th and this year we're 35!", people may actually notice that one.

Well, next year is EPCOTs 25th, so we'll see.

    What do you guys think?

Personally, I live in California and don't want to see any advertising for any MK birthdays. Not interested.

Personally I think it would be very confusing - but I am only interested in the birthdays for DL

When you think about it, 35 is no more special a number than 27 or 43. 50 was nice and round, and it was for the "theme parks" generally as well as the original park. My understanding was that there were celebrations for the 50th in MK and the other parks as well, as the Happiest Celebration on Earth.

It is just unfortunate timing that the 35th fell so soon after the 50th. Otherwise Disney marketing would have been all over it.

I don't live in California, but close to there and I've never seen MK aniversary marketing either. And no, I don't really think they'll be confused. (Sorry about the Dodgers 3rdshiftCM).

I don't think people will be confused so much as burned out on all the heavy hype.

While I enjoyed the marketing for the 50th, I'm glad it's over. I say have a nice push every 10 years as milestone anniversaries, but no more big extravaganzas until the 100th.

I know exactly what you mean about spreading it to thin, but I think the majority of people will forget the 50th withing a short amount of time that it won't mean anything in the next few years (except for those that really follow what is happening.) So although the WDW's 35th may be lost right now, they will probably have no problem capitalizing on the world market next year for Epcot's 25th.
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

I doubt people would get confused. There's a big difference in the wording between "Disneyland" and "Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom." The latter is much wordier.

Also, I agree with one of the previous posters that although 35 is an accomplishment to be proud of, it's really not that big of a number. If it were the 40th or 50th I'd say BRING ON THE PARTY! However, if I were to hear about a 35th anniversary I'd probably just shrug my shoulders and say to myself, "That's nice. I'm happy for them" - like I am right now. LOL
