3 sounds about right. Its not like Space Mountain where there is a fairly tall height requirement so that little kids cant ride it. Im guessing there will be no height requirement on Nemo which means all the little ones will want to go on it which will deffinately add to the wait time... (does that make sense???)

Also the fact that is a going to be a new ride, and EVERYONE will want to ride it. I would guess the first one and a half years the ride is open the line will take forever, only because people will want to go see it, and especially the people who don't go there much. Another thing is that the older generation remembers the submarines from before, and will also be anxious to see how it has changed and whatnot. I am guessing, like people above said, probably 4 hours for about 1 1/2 years.

I don't know, the sub holds 32 people and with 8 subs, they do hold a lot. Not saying it's going to be less than 2 hours though.

They actually increased the capacity for each sub to 40 people... Thought you'd like to know! (400th post!)

4 hours minimum. With the low capacity and high demand, I could see it going up to 5 or 6 hours.

I read on an Al Lutz art that the ride cap was 1300 per hour. That would mean it has one of the lower ride cap's when compaired to rides in both parks.

The "Rocket Rods" line was around 4 hours when I queued up on opening day in 1998. (boy was that not worth it.. I want my May 22nd Back!!!) I would think the cap on that ride was similar, which should mean that Nemo would have a longer wait time because of it's popularity with the younger audience.

I agree on the 4-5 hour wait. I'm curious to find out exactly how long the line will stretch. Do you think they'll try to have it wrap around Fantasyland and keep it within the park, or do you think it'll just go through Tomorrowland and down Main Street USA and out the doors?

I agree - something close to the 4-hour mark on opening day, and somewhere around 2-4 hours for the first weeks or so.

Which is why, even though I'm dying to ride it, I'll wait. Or arrive at the park at opening.

Single rider DEFINITELY. More rides should have single rider queues.

Fast Pass NO in my opinion. It just serves to make the standby line so much longer, and makes the rest of the park more crowded (but that's another post).

If it doesn't have a fastpass, it will probably be long. I'm no expert, so I will make no guess at length. However, I seem to remember that even before the sub went down (and when they weren't as popular) the line was still 30-60 minutes on average. So, if memory servers right, it's not going to be a pretty sight, but I look forward to riding it.

This is what I think the way the queue line go for the sub
If look at the blue dots.

Now if (it's a small world) is not use the queue area for the holidays
                                  Disneyland can use that area.

                                    Re: Speaking of wait times......

My deepest, dearest HOPE is that they have AP previews. That is how I did ToT the first (and 2nd to last) time. You had to go online, pick a ride time in advance, and print out a "ticket" that you brought to the park. I think I saw something about this mentioned in one of the park updates or something. If D-Land can get the APers in and out of the subs in the month BEFORE the official opening, there will be better hopes of shorter lines. Shorter meaning only 3 hours or so.

I think the line will stretch back past the Fantasyland smoking area to the old motorboat docks. They could set up some back&forth line queues on the docks and maybe the area next to it - where the photo-mosaics were in front of Small World. If that's not enough, the could open the parade doors next to Small World and run the line north on Harbor Bl.

Or they could turn Innoventions into part of the queue.

Or they could make EVERY rider a FastPass rider. Offer an optional FastPass at the front gate when you walk into the park. "Subs or no subs today?" They would give you a ticket with your 1 hr time window with NO late entry. Use it or lose it. No need for 3 hour lines. And when the time slots are full, people walking into the park would be notified that Nemo is SOLD OUT for the day. It's their choice whether or not to enter the park.

It's a nice thought, but I doubt it work, nor go over well. What about the guests that come from overseas just for this ride? They will have spent money that would then have gone to waste. I know that if I were someone from, let's say, Russia who didn't have much money, but was able to save up enough to go to Disneyland for this ride I wouldn't be very happy with the park if I got turned away because the ride was "sold out." Good idea, but not realistic.

That would be nice, but I'm nervous about the record sales of APs during the 50th. Let's hope most of them don't renew by the time the ride opens.
