Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
Only because we got to meet him, Joe Rhoade. Very interesting man.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

I do like that Joe Rhode rocks the giant earrings, but for pure artwork alone I have to tip my hat to Mary Blair. I just love looking at her art/concept art whether it is attached to a theme park project or not.
However, just in terms of pure contributions, it is hard to look past Marc Davis and the legendary John Hench.
I just love Tony Baxter. I know he has his detractors, but the man has so much talent. I also admire the shows that Steve Davidson has put together and the awesome work of Joe Rhode on Everest (like his ear rings too). Kim Irvine gets props for her artistic sensibilities.
Of course the entire cadre of the 9 old men are above reproach, but the folks above are the modern Imagineering heroes who pop into my mind at the moment (sorry to those of you I've missed).

MiceChat 101: Be NICE! If you don't play well with others, you are in the wrong sandbox.
Marc and Alice Davis, Ward Kimball, Sam McKim, Bill Justice, Bob Gurr (who was doing line control in the esplanade on Sunday?!?!), John Hench, Herbie Ryman, Eddie Soto, Tony Baxter, Bruce Gordon, David Mumford.... and I know I am forgetting people who deserve to be mentioned.
I feel honored to have met most of the above and to hear their tales first hand. Not only are/were these amazing Imagineers - but amazing people.
Defintly Tony, creating Figment and the New Fantasyland. These 2 projects completly reinvigorated the dark ride. Claude Coats and Ken Anderson, the dark ride kings. They were there for the 1st and were back in 81-82. Plus Claude did the OLD Snow White at MK! Kim Irivine Allison for keep up the Disney show stanards from WED days. What she did w/ the dark rides during thier 50th rehabs was amazing. The colors were soooo bright! John Hench in so many ways. Collin Cambell. Alice Davis for her elaborate costuming on Small, Pirates, and Mansion??<--- (still not confirmed). And of course Marc Davis, who marked nearly every Disney attraction for at LEAST 2 decades.
