What is your weirdest or more embarrassing disneyland experience?

Mine would have to be in line for Indiana Jones. There was a crate with a hinge where a lock would go. But the lock wasn't there, so i stupidly touched it. Well i actually opened the crate and there were security cameras, a phone, tons of little buttons, and other stuff. I was so embarrassed cuz people around me laughed. Although it was pretty funny. It was in the room right after the film room and before you go where they load.

My strangest moment didn't happen in an American park, but a strange thing happened in Hong Kong... (does that disqualify me?)

While waiting for the ropes to be dropped, the Mickey hat I was wearing – and my girlfriend's Minnie ears – that had garnered so many smiles and waves the day before won us over several fans. A couple of girls asked if they could have their photos taken with us, and then her friend asked us for the same. If you are reading this – and were the girl in the pink shirt and pink Converse – please let me know!!! I want that photo

I would have to say going to DL with my broken leg. Since I couldn't put any weight on my left leg I had to have a CM and my friend help me hop on one leg to a doom buggy. Plus, because they had to stop the ride for me to get on I felt like everybody was looking at me.

But, I did have fun that day.

Oh, wow! Long time since I've posted!

My most embarrassing moment happend when I was little and is very similar to DisneyDude's moment. I used to love to go in Chip and Dale's Treehouse. One of the times, I noticed a little cubbord on the the wall. I thought it was part of the attraction (like how you can poke around Minnie's Kitchen). I opened it and was shocked, SHOCKED, to find a red phone and blinking lights inside. A CM scollded me and I was really upset.

So I was on Space Mountain right... And there arnt many... you know... small kids on our train, just a bunch of bigol fast food mun chin grownups (like me and my wife) so we get to the part after you load where the guy tells us to check our lap bars.... and instead of turning right to go up the first lift... we turn left...

Turns out that our train was over the weight limit, I was lovin it, but there were some ladies in the other car that seemed to be offended. So they unloaded us with a little ladder, one row at a time, and went around back stage (where they keep the cool computers that run the ride it looks like) and through a door and to the front of the line.

My weirdest experience was getting stuck in Peter Pan's Flight. It happened about 30 seconds into my ride, so I was hanging over London and I was loving it! "House lights" came up and the soundtrack remained running, albeit at low volume. Everything looked kinda gross, but it was cool to see! The thing that really surprised me was how the clouds/fog over the little streets was nothing more than what looked like big dry-cleaning bags kinda crumpled up and just plopped down on the ground. I was in there for at least a half hour and then it was funny seeing maintenance guys in their navy-blue overalls come stomping through like so many humanoid Godzillas attacking the city! LOL

Hmmm...Not sure this is the best board for this type of comment. MiceChat is a very open, tolerant, gay friendly community. This post came off as rather small minded. It's ok if you don't "swing that way", but why is a gay guy staring at you any creepier than a straight woman?

                  You're right, that is shocking.

The next thing you know they'll start letting gays into Disneyland in large groups, all wearing the same colored shirts.

                  Where will the madness end?

The post could have been more sensitive, but, to answer your (probably rhetorical) question, there are plenty of straight people who feel unnerved by unwanted gay attention, and no amount of tolerance, gay family members or even friendships with gay classmates and neighbors, can quite eliminate that feeling. When I was a younger, I got a bit of that unwanted attention from gays, and it definitely made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. As a result, my most embarrassing Disney moment -- which came to mind this weekend for obvious reasons -- came from showing up on an unofficial gay day wearing a red USC shirt. I felt like everyone was looking at me all day and assuming I was gay. If there had been a pin that said "Not gay, just happened to wear red", I'd have bought it.

Now, some five years later, I probably would not feel much embarrassment in the same situation, but at the time....

Um, shyness and DMCA don't really go together. You'll have to do something about that.

We got over it pretty quick! Mamabot and some of the others said we were DMCA towards the end of the meet so I guess we made a good impression.

WHOOPs. I don't have a problem with gays, it was just weird having a gay guy staring me down and looking at my...personal areas. Since i am 150% straight, of course it will be unerving.
